Took me a year to realise just how fucking brilliant the production is on here, seriously his best produced album since IGOR. A year passes by quick man, what a week it was when this dropped.
The most thought provoking and self reflective project of the year. Dave's introspection and storytelling taken up to another level that we've never seen before. Serious goosebumps from that last track. Obviously not an album you'd be having on rotation but certainly an album Dave needed.
Favourite songs : The Boy Who Played The Harp, Fairchild and Weapons.
Least favourite : Marvellous.
Still yet to hear a bad Magdalena Bay song.....scandalous talent.
Favourite songs : Afternoon in Heaven and El Dorado.
The third and potentially final Search Session from Scubadiver is here, and it's overall an immersive masterpiece.
Scuba is seriously one of the most musically passionate artists that I am aware of, and his music thrives off authenticity that feels so warm everytime I tune in. These two songs are even harder to pin down genre wise compared to his last two releases, which I thought wasn't possible, but it's Scuba so you can't really be sure with what this man is cooking ... read more
It's a shame that this album has come about all because of a failed attempt at a proper songwriting album from one of my most loved artists of all time, Mid-Air Thief. You can tell that this project is incredibly rushed, and overall not all that interesting. I know MAT still has it in him to create another Crumbling, the only question is when will that happen?
Favourite songs : Flying Glossy and Triarp.
Least favourite : iShove.
Kevin Parker's fear of sticking to a sound gets the better of him, as this new sound is bland and very uninteresting at parts, with the few bops here and there. I'm all for artistic growth, but i'm sure we all wouldn't of minded another album exactly like Currents, maybe even another 100 albums exactly like Currents.
Favourite songs : Dracula and Loser.
Least favourite : Ethereal Connection.
House music that's actually engaging YAY!!!! Really bouncy and fun production, the energy never dies down through the consistent tracklist and overall, Through The Wall is just a really fun time.
Favourite songs : Ladida and Doing It Too.
Least favourite : On 2 Something.
Man I'm just so happy I get to witness this run Magdalena Bay are on. The soon to be greatest pop act of all time.
Yeah that's a hook that's going to be stuck in my head all week. Can't wait for this albummmmm let's go Danny
Olēka is already booking her spot for an AOTY 2026 contender. Imagine something this good being your debut single???? Only a matter of time until she's one of the biggest folk artists.
Parannoul is being ever so active under different names this year, and he's really hit the right spot on Blue Lucent Reverie in terms of affection. Each track is beautifully progressive, the combination of ambient and glitch never goes too over the top, allowing for a really relaxing listen. Overall, this album sounds like a nice spring walk in a park by the lake, which if you were to give me 100 of those albums, I would not decline. Really love the variety of genres Parannoul is covering ... read more
Blurrr's atmosphere is seriously something special. The first four tracks are so bare yet beautiful, reminding me of Giles Corey sonically. As soon as the instrumental charm starts to fade away and leave me disinterested, Oliver Coates comes in and mixes his beautiful instrumentation with Joanne's to overall take this whole experience to the next level of warmth and organic beauty. Very unique, lovely bit of ear candy, lovely album.

I saw a tweet saying "the first album made by Grok" and I completely, wholeheartedly agree.
Liam McCay returns to one of his many names 'Dead Calm' with a cool bit of lo-fi emo folk. Some pretty unique vocal performances and an album I can see do well on tiktok for sure. Can be a bit uneventful at parts but still a nice experience overall.
Favourite songs : Chance and Slump.
Least favourite : Turn Around.
There's a pretty seamless and interesting blend of electro pop, emo folk, and EDM on Y'all. An effective showcase of vulnerability masked by energy and bangers, just let down by the album's repetitiveness near the end of the tracklist.
Favourite songs : Foreigner and Asheville.
Least favourite : Modafinil.
