some decent cuts on here but struggles with its identity.
a lot of these songs have horrible mixing or incredibly left field production in an uncreative way.
i wanted to like this so bad.
I want to preface by stating clearly; this is not a review, rather an expression of my own experiences in relation to the topics in this project. My appreciation for this EP, my takeaway from "Solace", a body of work composed and preformed by Thebe Kgositsile.

It's like Rage Against the Machine but they replaced the rap elements with jazz, and it pans out as beautifully as you'd expect!
Although pockets of this project lack proper voice or poise, Mescudi is able to pull through with a solid alternative release, infusing his signature psychedelic branding and sound, with unique rock inspiration, ultimately birthing his most captivating project since "Man On The Moon III".

Big Fish Theory is everything I could ask for in an album, risky production that is pleasing to the ear, harsh lyrics that cover glossed over issues in society, a stacked feature list, tons of bangers, and did I mention the production? The production is amazing.

the industry is saturated, people tend to throw around terms such as "glaze" "corny" or "mid" to any release from mainstream artists, nine times out of ten they dont even listen to the music. society as a whole is too sensitive and self consious, favouring validaiton, clicks and attention, as opposed to staying true to their self, instead of being human, they follow a herd and quash their own perspective.

somebody on instagram genuinely said that Little Simz was ass, citing that it sounds like "lyrical miracle spiritual" rap, and then said they listen to clipping.
Aesop Rock brings fitting production to the ethereal supermarket theming, and is still in his bag when it comes to wordplay and diverse language. Much to be expected, the choruses are a bit lackluster, however notably improved upon since his last release; ITS, at the cost of the cutting edge production track to track, often drowning out and feeling unsubstantial.

i dont think Daylyt can get any actual good beats. eh. its kinda of mediocre. he went back to back thats the only notable part of those tracks release.
