Definition of chill. Even though I haven't given it a super high score it's the type of album I'd like to have on vinyl.

Can anyone tell me what happened to 'Have a Nice Life'? Are they still a band? Are they going to release something in the near future?

Definitely underrated this beauty.

Huge improvement from Logic. Aside from the first and last track, he ditches the big thematical theme and the excess 'positivity and love' that can sometimes come off as too corny. The main body of this album is just straight to the point hip-hop and I respect that.

Conflicted on this one. Lyrics are bleak yet convey so much meaning especially when combined with the eerie ambiance, something I love about this project. I just find it hard to sit through the whole thing, maybe because of it practically being one long song split up into 9 separate ones. After while the hazy atmosphere can feel nauseating like being stuck in an intoxicated spiral that after a while gets a bit too much.

Doesn't try to be more than it is. Easy listening with a dash of melancholy. I'm a fan.

How tf is there so many negative ratings?? From my perspective I would have thought you could only listen to this (the whole thing intently) if you already love, and i mean love, Drake. Otherwise how could you put yourself through 25 tracks whilst trying to remain unbiased and giving it an honest critique knowing what we already know about Drake. Did you seriously make yourself sit through an hour and a half of something you assumably knew would be trash?

"The secret at the heart of Beach House’s evocative music remains the same—there is no specific place Legrand wants to take you. But there will always be… someplace you’d rather be. Beach House will always help you dream of it."

Only based on first listen, but it felt enough to know what score it deserved for me. Can't see myself returning to the album other than the singles that were released prior to it coming out.

On Kurt Vile - Bottle It In
"Unless it's an artist I stan, I rarely pre-order. I prefer to only buy the albums I really love on vinyl so it's safer to stream them first. "
On Kurt Vile - Bottle It In
"Can confirm I now have this on vinyl "
On aronmace's review of Logic - YSIV
"Why would you not want one of the greatest rap groups of all time on your album? Especially as he talks a lot about paying respects to the 'old school hip hop', it makes sense to have wu-tang on the album."
On bitterblossom12's review of Mac Miller - Faces
"Definitely an underrated project by Mac, could possibly be the truest reflection of who Mac was an artist. Shame it's not on Spotify or Apple Music. "

On Drake - Scorpion
"^ That's a reasonably fair and valid point. I guess at the time I wrote that I just thought a lot of people purely listened to the album just to give it a low score, even though I'm sure the album deserved it, I couldn't see the fun in listening to 25 tracks. And on the flipside not even listening to the whole thing just up to the point where you had enough then rate it. But like you said, I might have made to many assumptions... I change my mind all the time so I'm open to accepting I was wrong"
On Drake - Scorpion
"I know the obvious argument is that exactly of what you said Space Vacation. However, I'm just past the point of listening to an album (especially one of this length) that I'm fairly positive I'm not going to like just to give it a low score to make my ratings more balanced. Drake is a good example based on his status. If it was a band/artists' second or third album then even if I didn't like the first I'd give it a shot (most of the time). "
On Ben Howard - Noonday Dream
"FearFlour: oooohhh tbh I should probably give back something to Rob and this site, it has been my go to website for years now. Mark: Yeah I never really bothered even checking Ben Howard out, maybe because I didn't think much of the people I knew who loved him at school. However, my girlfriend insisted on me listening to him and i'm glad i did in the end because this album is quite special. Perhaps the second half of the album fades into nothing a bit, but the first half is really great."
On Savages - Adore Life
"I haven't listened to Savages in a while and haven't really felt the need to either.. However if they start to tease new music i'm sure i'll return to all their old stuff"

"Damn MarkCooper went in. Totally agree with you dude, especially that last point. "
On Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Luciferian Towers
"I disagree, I feel that despite its flaws, Luciferian Towers is their most accessible work to date which has the potential to attract people who may not like them if they jumped straight into an older album of theirs. Also, there is a better album than F# A# ∞... its called Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven ;) "
