Coldplay - A Head Full of Dreams
58

One of the weakest Coldplay projects yet the beats here and there a properly executed and deserve credit for that... Just wish they had more ambition and clearer vision while making this, because there's fillers here and lot of room for growth...

5 Seconds of Summer - CALM
67

Some songs are truly a lot more catchy than anything on mainstream level... There's filler in this but some songs are kinda killer here and there... Not bad

Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence
18

Track 1. instrumental was decent but too less substance to be pulled out in 6 minutes... But wtf are these lyrics... The melody seemed fine in first verse, but I heard it again in 2nd verse and it was so much worse... The vocal impression at 2nd verse's end is kinda weird... Chorus sucks, I can see people buying it but I'm not buying it cause it appears cheap.. The instrumental really appeared cool at start but after 4 minutes it's not really great...

Now the rest of album... The fundamental ... read more

Billie Eilish - WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

Not the biggest fan but there are highlights in production here and there... Lyrics aren't always my type, I'll say that...

牛尾憲輔 [Kensuke Ushio] - A Shape of Light: A Silent Voice The Movie Original Soundtrack
100

EDIT: Wow the album now started to even appear on best of the decade section...

The comfort I get listening to this... The way it brings magic out of the movie and movie brings magic out of this thing... Not only that but even without the movie this could hold a dear place in my heart because the composition and the textures i get keep changing and comforts me a lot... A classic for me

Mount Eerie - Dawn

Feels like a hug... Someone comforting me with acoustic sounds surrounding me and striking lyrics related to reactions of a human on stimulation by nature and reality surrounding them... Some of the most interesting and striking lyrics i've heard lately... I can even see this growing with as I come more and more familiar with each song one by one...

Taylor Swift - Midnights

DECODE MY SHORT NOTES ON THIS THING
SCORE: 50 to 49... Idk it wasn't a yellow colour deserving album so idk... turned it red

Midnight
1. 4 weird production
2. 4 bland
3. 5 better melodies
Tracks 1-3. Generic concept, and not so engaging lyrics, filled with 1 sentence fantasies
4. 5.5 layered lyrics but melodies don't come together as well and feels generic
5. 7 more engaging lyrics, production not as bland as others... It's simple but not as bland as others...
6. 3.5 too bland production and ... read more

Not perfect but it doesn't even need to be perfect... This is one of my favourite batch of rock songs ever...

Destroyer - Kaputt
98

Don't enjoy every moment but the moments i enjoy (Edit: Now I enjoy every moment even more)... god i enjoy them... fantastic earcandy of an album... everything an indie pop band would do in terms of art pop, glam rock and some ambient electronic influence, but done in a balanced and properly, sounds like someone was thinking and caring a lot about how everything is balanced... The vocals may turn off many people but, they are a high point for me, because the lyrics they deliver, they are ... read more

why would i even listen to this again

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city

Classic, what is left to what haven't already been said... only complaint is few instrumental choices which i didn't vibe with in tracks here and there...

Pink Floyd - Animals (2018 Remix)
95

95 because of Remixing efforts only... Because everything in compositional and performance quality in Animals is just flawless and I just don't wanna take away what animals was for the time is lesser than this here... So I'll just drop what I think about the "Remixing Efforts"...
wtf is this... where did it came from... it's fire... i really like mix... i went into it expecting it to be garbage... damn this goes hard...

THIS SCORE IS JUST FOR THE REMIX EFFORTS BECAUSE ANIMALS IS A ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR

The best tyler project yet... Sounds are messy but honestly when paired with the character he plays with his weird vocals, it plays along really well like in BOYFRIEND (Hidden Track) for quick example... Really unusual songs structures like in GONE GONE/ THANK YOU... The production keeps me engaged as per how many things are buried under the instrumentals and the way many songs build up like NEW MAGIC WAND... The creativity of sounds he presents is also really amazing, the weird Synth Saxophone ... read more

The Weeknd - Starboy

A lot of filler in the album which interrupted the flow of the album so badly at points...

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
80

His most consistent project for me... And really find it fun to listen to

Charlie Puth - CHARLIE
35

Nearly as generic as the first album... Not feeling this one... Thought things were atleast going in a good direction when voicenotes came, but this is straight up boring and catching up trend music...

Ariana Grande - Positions
54

Bland throughout... Really generic instrumentals... And vocal performances too flashy for the lyrics I hear and instrumentals it sings on... Not like horrible but not really memorable and fun

Drake - Take Care
75

My favourite drake album... he sounds so much more engaged than his newer material and atleast sounds more raw and writing much better...

"@itscarcrasher that could be the case considering how big his reputation was... but that doesn't changes the fact that i saw a clip and even googled where he makes an appearance on a stage and people were fainting from the shock and he just stood in his stance on stage... that's no different from the travis scott tragedy for me and the fact that he just stood there with his stance makes me dislike him as a person very much... he's 10 times worse than travis for me"
