Blorg - KING OF THE PILL (HOODTRAP REMIX)
35

Basically just King of the Pill, but with an even worse beat and much less interesting video.
Why did they make this...?

Stromae - Racine carrée
75

Some context first perhaps:
Belgium is quite divided between its French and Dutch speaking parts, not just linguistically, but also culturally and politically.
In other words; most Walloon/Bruxelles artists, politicians, celebrities etc... are barely known in Flanders and vice versa.

Stromae is a rare exception! While he already had a number 1 hit with Alons on Danse, this album and especially Papaoutai became inescapable. You had a bunch of Flemish kids who didn't give a shit about ... read more

Glorb - EUGENE
74

A pretty good track ngl?
The AI voice editing is really nice: I love how the "Did this for my city because I rep Bikini Bottom" verse sounds f.e. and the beat is better than most tracks that came before it (the little futuristic tune between the drums is a great touch).
The COD, Pop Rocks and Lean references are great, but the lyrics are still not as good as tracks like Vengeance or The Bottom 3.

Glorb - MHMM
55

Not too bad?
My biggest complaint is mostly how generic the track is. Sandy is definitely meant to be a stereotypical female rapper who talks a lot about sex, which means the style of her rapping differs significantly from The Bottom 3. Most of her lyrics are kind of clever, but they are not that catchy. The beat is also not really unique and based on a Minaj song, but it's ok.

Blorg - REGULAR
68

It's just a really fun track to listen to ngl.
I like how it sounds much more electric? than other Glorb/Blorg tracks and how no one really outshines the other.
But it's not extremely catchy and the lyrics don't peak my interest like some other songs.

Christophe Héral & Billy Martin - Rayman Legends
78

Ok, wow?
I played this game on the PS VITA and PS4 years ago, even got the platinum trophy which is one heck of a grind, but I digress.
This album was a lot more orchestral than I expected. It made me realize it really took a whole bunch of musicians to pull off the soundtrack of this "kid's game". You will have these longer, well known tracks like Medieval Theme and 20.000 Lums that establish leitmotifs of coming tracks, which creates this continuous concert of epic (and ... read more

Glorb, Mr Swags & SpongeOpp - The Bottom
63

The Bottom was the first time Glorb got in their element. No AI visualizer and "Squidwock" really came in hard in his first appearance.
Krabs' chorus is kind of mid though?

Dankton - KYS
32

Oh boy...
This track is supposed to be a viscous takedown of Krabs, but it's ultimately just a lot of weird sex bars with a couple of clever things?
I like the Tetris and Elsa bars, but everything else is just "I fucked your daughter" and even "I fucked Spongebob?????"
It is still better than Formula and most of it is better than Krab Walk even, but the "HA HA" chorus is the worst dogshit I have heard from Glorb until now and drags it down massively.

Glorb - Musk v Zuck
62

Hidden Glorb track? Weird.
The references are kind of on the nose and Rogan's commentary really wasn't needed, but the lyrics are still ok and the beat is cold asf.
Biggest complaint I have is that the rappers are not even trying to sound like Elon or Mark?

東京酒吐座 [Tokyo Shoegazer] - Remains
72

I guess I now know what shoegaze is?
The album is delightfully dreamy, but also has that raw edge of rock to it. Quite a unique experience and I like it, but it doesn't make me float like some other instrumental music does (New Delhi Dawn from LBP comes to mind). And yeah, the vocals are so far away that the album is basically instrumental music for me.

Favorite song: Pulse
Least favorite song: Vega

SpongeOpp - FUN
42

Ok, I think we're almost past the garbage pile here?
FUN is a much smoother and calmer track than the previous ones, and it's not too long, but "wanting to bang Karen" remains an incredibly boring theme for a song. We'll get better lyrics soon, right?

Glorb - sadkini
43

Something completely different from Glorb, unfortunately Dankton's voice sounds rough and the lyricism is nowhere to be found, but it is kind of creative and a nice piece of storytelling because it makes Vengeance all the more rewarding. I like it that, canonically, Dankton and Karen are a power couple in this universe.
So I have to briefly beef with some of you... Your tastes suck! Why is Lois higher than Ghost in the Shell? Why is STD an 80? And why is this song lower than flipping ... read more

La Caution - Peines De Maures / Arc-en-ciel Pour Daltoniens
62

Oui, oui baguette album?
I'm gonna be honest, I shouldn't have listened to this in 1 day: everything blended in each other and I don't understand French either. From the few tracks I know well like Thé à la menthe and Boîte de macs, I can definitely say with confidence that these guys are pretty good rappers. All the instrumentals and production throughout the rest of the album didn't blow me away, but it is overall a nice mix of pure early 2000's ... read more

Blorg - KING OF THE PILL
45

Probably one of the worst beats from Glorb/Blorg I have heard up until this point: it sounds like some insanely bass boosted meme from the internet. Some bars are pretty nice, others are questionable. Nothing stands out to me, but that might be a me-issue since I've never watched KOTH.
Combine that with the horrible chorus and 45 seems fair to me.

Mr. Swags - KRAB WALK
40

Pffffff, hahahaha...
Some of these bars and the chorus are legitimately the funniest dog shit i've ever heard, but there are some good ones in there, so we are steadily improving?
The video is still AI, but atleast far more pleasant to look at compared to Formula. Also a better beat, production and especially RESTRAINT! This song is almost 2 minutes shorter than Formula and i'm glad for that...

Jan Hammer - Escape From Television
75

I knew Crockett's Theme from GTA: Vice City already, so when I saw an entire album filled with Miami Vice music, I thought it would be a fun listen.
While Crockett still stands out to me, this entire album is a beautiful blend of 80's synthesizer pop and progressive/psychedelic rock. Colombia even dips its toes in Latin music a bit.
In summary: this soundtrack is really good!

TRACK RATINGS:
Crockett's Theme = 90
Theresa = 70
Colombia = 73
Rum Cay = 72
The Trial And The Search = ... read more

Blorg - MMKAY
60

Lyrically speaking one of the weakest Blorg/Glorb tracks out there, but very catchy nonetheless...

Dankton - STD (Mr. Swags Diss)
50

The video is still ugly AI generated slop and none of the references or beats really hit for me, but it's a bit more creative and better sounding then Formula atleast.

Kanye West - BULLY
50

Pfffff, idk what I have to say that other people haven't said already?
I fully agree with my friend Up4Life, this album really doesn't have a lot to say.
It's just a well produced, floaty album, but "Kanye's redemption album" or whatever the fck this is never cuts deep and ignores everything that happened. I get the feeling bro finally realized being a Nazi is bad and having shit mental health ruins your life, but he doesn't seem to have the introspection or ... read more

Mr. Swags - THE FORMULA
30

Oh boy, Glorb really came from the bottom huh?
The lyrics are straight up ass, some of them try to reference stuff like the Drake/OVO reference or the Patrick (A F vs. J Intro reference? I used Genius to get that, i'm not pretending to get this reference), but most of them are just mediocre stuff about being rich and wanting to shoot Plankton.
The entire video is AI generated and we didn't have a storyline yet. I appreciate Glorb for pushing through and eventually differentiating ... read more

"This is a thought I've kind of always had: I don't think 2Pac and Biggie would have remained the goats for long even if they didn't die. Would their more recent stuff been cheeks? Idk, because oldheads have different rates of falling off. You have some degenerate fall-offs like Kanye and even Drake (if I can believe most people) vs. a fall-off like MF DOOM, who remained really good, but he never replicated the levels of MM...FOOD and Madvillainy again."
