Rosalia using autotune is clear proof that this planet is dying
This actually sounds edgier than Little Dark Age which it's as interesting as ironic in many ways. I'm living for this gothic direction and I'm ready to cry to this in my lonely new year eve.
If you ignore the existence of Borderline these singles could easily be the best round-up of singles of this year and also the most stable in terms of quality.
Rina's back!
Well while this is more varied and charismatic than Flicker or Cherry since I'm a normie I still find Cherry more enjoyable, guess I need more proper listens, what I could agree is that this song portrays a more drastic change of direction for her if you have listened to her EP "Rina" you'll understand my thoughts, even so, this is still a good approach.
Every remix you find on the internet loses 10 points if it has Shawn Mendes on it.
This kind of sound like a weird mix between Paramore's style with The Strokes' sound with a woman as a vocalist and also a bit of Youtube background music for intros and outros, I don't know why but this is certainly nice for me, this happy vibe is what's been lacking in music recently.
I might be minority here but this sounds more appealing to me than Borderline, it could be that I just can dig it as a Tame Impala song, but this is quite better in lyricism and vocal performance, I'd argue Borderline had a nice vocal performance as well, but it falls dull by the repetitiveness of the track, this is more varied and besides, can we talk about the drums?
While these songs aren't such a big departure towards their last album, they seem to be trying to recover a more authentic sound, even though they want to stick to pop, these are more listenable and enjoyable at some point.
They turned one of the most annoying songs out of their last album into a whole new experience, they pass from an average pop song to a varied and more interesting sound, what it concerns me is that this, "People" and "The 1975" are from the same project, I guess. So I already have no idea how is this going to sound but I'm living for it.
Despite, Lose You to Love me wasn't essentially the most creative thing she had put out since Bad Liar and Fetish, it kind of portrayed and represented how she was honestly feeling after the recent events on her life which made it a valuable song at least. But this, it just sounds so generic, it drowns the atmosphere Selena was trying to create with Lose you to Love me and ruins what I wished it would be a more honest and humble departure for her.
If you all are wondering what makes this so bad even for BTS standards, it's because it has Ed Sheeran on it.
It seems everyone here it's enjoying this new track so far. I surely don't get into it in the way it does for you. I'd even say this is far to be on NRO level or even some teenage dreams singles but at least this is way more interesting than anything we've already seen on her previous record Witness.
