If you like The Cure, you really have no reason NOT to like this album. It's everything the fans would want but with a hint of less energy and a tiny bit more post-rock inspired. (still incredibly pretty tho fr)

Definitely more drawn out than I personally feel like it needed to be, but the sections that grasp you throughout its runtime truly feel like an incredible experience

Fuck yes, holy shit, this is some of the coolest instrumentation I've heard throughout the year. Kick-ass jazz instrumentals with some over-the-top but energetic vocals. Plus the songs also happen to have some pretty incredible and immersive structures. Loved it.

Some of the best writing out there lies within this record, alongside some pretty killer instrumentation and amazing vocal performances. This album is layered and layered with extreme amounts of passion from Fiona Apple.

for someone who already doesn't like taylor swift, I hated this project wayyy more than I thought I would

Before I had first listened to this album about a year ago, I had extremely high expectations and they we’re amazing still surpassed. Yet still from that point I had no idea that this record would ultimately become one of my favorite albums of all time and start the mark for following what is now my current favorite band ever.

I'm pretty late to discovering this, but man this album was a pretty incredible experience. Some really bold and interesting production that kept me entertained throughout along with some amazing vocal performances. So annoyed that I didn't listen to this sooner.

This is the first project by MAVI that I've listened to and if his other work has the same thought-provoking lyrics and smooth Lofi-like production, then I'm definitely looking forward to digging through his past and future releases. This album was a pretty chill and vibey experience with some really impressive lyrical writing. Samlrc is an artist that I feel has the potential to create masterpieces within the near future. This album is an extremely beautiful interpretation of modern post-rock while mixing a few elements of shoegaze and ambient noises that feel comforting and sometimes cinematic. Tracks like Sinner and Storge stood out as a couple of my favorites from this record mostly grabbing my attention with its heavy and hard-hitting drums. I want to rate this album higher because of how incredible the instrumentals sound at times, but fuck you Julian Casablancas for ruining every track with the worst autotune humanly possible.
