I can't find anything wrong with this album. Smooth and soothing from start to finish.

Me listening to this album: Not as good as Loveless maybe.
Later, Wonder 2: Fuck you.
Me: Yeah fuck me.

I mean, I was kinda sad when I found out that not every shoegaze album sounded like this.

EDIT: Okay I'm changing my mind. I never liked 7 rings, but it kinda makes sense after hearing fake smile and ghostin. This is the first time I felt Ariana actually had something to say, which was unfortunately drowned in all those boring trap beats. It could've been much, much better.

ps. Fuck all those K-POP fans who accused Ariana of being culture vulture while cleverly disguising themselves as Japanese.

This is either the closest we'll ever get to Aphex Twin rapping or the Yeesus 2 that we might never get. I can't make up my mind.

The presence of autotune is inevitably obvious, but DNA is probably the best thing they've ever done since Black & Blue. Anyone who used to chant along the bridge of Everybody back in 90's will not be dissapointed.

EDIT: You see kids that's what happens when you possess the charisma to gather 40,000+ soccer moms per member.

It's a shame how this album was overshadowed by Kamasi Washington's Heaven And Earth and went largely unnoticed on this website.

Given the fact that I'm not quite fond of Robyn's voice, listening to Honey was surprisingly refreshing. Arguably the best pop album of the year.

Oh fuck it. I assume this is how my grandparents felt about Backstreet Boys back in the days. You go giRLS! STAND YOUR IDOL! RAISE YOUR FLAG! FLOOD THE STREETS! STAR A NEW ERA!!!

Actual review:
The whole album is too damn slow - is this a trend? The sound production is too monotonous for me to pay attention to the lyrical content. The second half is definitely more attrating than the first half, but I wish there were more than one upbeat song.
Zayn's vocal is okay (I guess), but it gives me ... read more

My problem with Iridiscence is that it's got this 'experimental sound' that pretty much everyone else is doing. It's not as unique as Saturation trilogy sounded.

EDIT:
I'm retracting my previous 75 and giving this a 87. It's really growing on me and I can't explain why.
Mariah's voice, to be honest, has never been this bad. There's strain whenever she tries to belt, and usage of autotune is kind of apparent.
But the album as a whole somehow ended up being so lovely, that I find myself keep coming back to this. It's compact, and has a nice flow.
And yes, it's probably the best listening experience I get from a Mariah Carey album ever since ... read more

In my opinion, The White Album does not benefit from this new remix as much as Sgt Pepper did. While I do realise that the intention of this remix was to bring it closer to how it sounded like in the studio back in 1968, I couldn't help feeling a little bit let down, compared to the excitement I got when I heard the 2017 Sgt Pepper last year.
With that being said, this still sounds a lot better than the 2009 remaster. I'm not sure if I'd completely stop listening to the 2009 version and go with ... read more

Just 5 seconds into the album and I knew there'd probably be nothing much going on in terms of lyrics in this album. Actually it turned out that there was nothing going on at all in terms of lyrics for the entire album. But then again, it's not that type of record where you have to pay attention to the lyrics, either. The beat is on fire and the instrumentation is fun, and that's all this album needs.
I'm not sure if this deserves to be this high on the aoty list, but this is likely to be my ... read more

The production is so smooth and cute that I can't handle this. I don't think I can find a better aoty this year.

Low key mad that no one told me about this mixtape back then. It's so nice that it could've easily been one of my aoty of 2016. Love the mellow jazzy production.

Every single one of the tracks in this EP has been watermarked, all starting with a child's voice saying 'Zaytoven'. This is simply not for me.

The problem with Queen, in my opinion, is that the productions are almost identical after merely 3 tracks; every track is primarily cold synth/piano on a trap beat, which I'm kinda bored with.
Chun Swae is 6 minutes of pure torture. I'm sorry but I fail to see any special talent in Swae Lee. Rhyming 'sir' with 'sir' throughout the track, Sir is easily the laziest song she's ever made. Coco Chanel shouln't have been divided into 2 songs.

I don't get it. This is definitely better than Dangerous Woman and I really love Pharrel's production. It gets a bit weak towards the end but overall this is a brilliant album. I do have some issues with her pronunciation, but her vocal is better than ever.
