I do think there is potential for future records from Shawn Wasabi, however, with every song being with a less appealing singer/feature, there are very little songs to truly enjoy on this record.
The best songs are the one's that are instrumental and do not have a lot of lyrics. Marble Tea shines as being the best song on this LP, and being my introduction into Shawn Wasabi's discography. But annoying, repetitive lyrics even wear that down, including songs like Tokyo Tea, with incredibly annoying chorus vocals. Then there are hints of incredible songs! I honestly think Love Potion is incredibly underrated, and has a lot of potential. The least annoying lyrics that were bearable and honestly pretty cool!
Again Mangotale truly had potential and hearing his previous singles, I was excited. However, this album needs to have less repetitive and tedious lyrics, and TONS of pop influenced instrumentals all over the place.
