Make-you-feel-good classics! Everything Creedence does is pretty masterful and is some of the best music of its time without a doubt, this being a prime example. Sixties rock ‘n roll/southern rock/roots rock/swamp rock (etc, etc..) are always feel-good, go-to genres for me, another being boogie rock, so pretty much most of Creedence’ work is special to me/I enjoy it a lot. I especially love their third-fifth albums, ‘Willy and the Poor Boys’ and ‘Cosmo’s ... read more

I wanted to redo this review entirely because lately Agalloch has been on my radar, more like atop actually. As a few people might know, they’re my favourite band of all time - well, them and Mastodon. Agalloch is a versatile, distinct band, they are capable of pulling off great folk metal, black metal, doom metal, atmospheric black metal, post-metal and beyond. Pale Folklore is their debut LP released in 1999 — strangely enough they chose or went with a first summer release, which ... read more

This man awoke one day in late 1969 and decided he was gonna fucking own the 70s. I mean.. shit, he probably did. Or, perhaps, maybe this is just art you couldn’t make unless you were David Bowie, and there can only be one. A glam/pop art rock opera that is one of the most influential and greatest of its era, and of all time. Regardless of the few meh albums, couple crap albums, etc.. when you hear stuff like “Heroes,” “Hunky Dory”, “Low”, ... read more

Thank you, Beach Boys, once again you’re ear worming your way into my skull with your catchy melodies and warm, uplifting, summer-tinged songs. Here we have the amazing “God Only Knows”. I’m looking at this as the b-side to “Wouldn't It Be Nice.” That in itself is a perfect pop song, the perfect song in general for that matter, and “God Only Knows” is fantastic too. The Beach Boys were, much like the Beatles, ahead of their time. ... read more

Hey! Sorry to bug you, but I just finished a new little EP and I’d love some feedback on it if you have the time! I tried to keep a somewhat dreamy and funky sound throughout and I’m very proud of how it turned out. Also, this is a big experiment for me so I’d like to know your favourite and least favourite tracks and why.
