An earnest and very vulnerable, if not overly tactful attempt from Cudi at a different sound; definitely a little overhated imo.
A satisfying zero-filler collab which spotlights Dave on his A-game (as per usual), and Cench lyrically at his best--particularly on Trojan Horse and Our 25th Birthday.
Sprinter being the most liked track on here is nothing short of criminal.
In true Cudi fashion, Entergalactic presents far from the most consistent album experience--however as the soundtrack to the film, it fairs quite well.
Lil Yachty really hopped on one Tame Impala remix and decided it was time to make the best psychedelic album of the 2020s lmao
Excellent singles, somewhat mediocre remixes.
Singles: 9/10
Remixes: 6/10
Aggregate: 7.5/10
An album which both knows exactly what it is, and executes perfectly upon that vision. Everything a psychedelic album should be--an instant staple in the genre.
AOTY is misleading on this one, Nate's most mature and well developed project to date. If you can swallow the pill many struggle with that you are indeed listening to NF, and thus accept the Eminem influences and at times corny lyrics for what they are, it's far from a bad album.
I do sort of wish he'd split some of the weaker tracks off into a deluxe though.
With every bloated, uninspired, cliche, half-baked R&B album Drake puts out I have just a little less time for it--and I never had very much to begin with.
Favourite part: NOKIA
Least favourite part: Drake, the rest of this album
Frigid, somber, nebulous, pensive--disparate and desolate--there has not and will never be another album quite like James Blake by James Blake.
This is just such a Logic project to make. It's quirky, charming, endlessly creative, and chalk full of genuinely excellent production. You can tell Bobby had a lot of fun making this project and was just doing whatever the fuck he felt like doing, and that energy is honestly infectious. The whacky story combined with the brilliant spacey production makes this among Logic's most transportative projects for me, while remaining light-hearted and at times genuinely funny. You know it's gonna be bad when the artist literally tells you it's probably worth ignoring in the title.
Underwhelming considering the wait. Carti has yet to release anything better than Yeat's 2093, and I'm beginning to wonder if he ever will.
Friends & Family is a banger, everything else is take it or leave it.
You know it's bad when the 30 second intro and outro snippets of a news anchor talking about the weather are 10%+ better rated than any other track off the album lmao.
