That John Fogerty knew how to write a hit
Top 3: Green River, Bad Moon Rising, Lodi
I was really only familiar with CCR’s biggest hits but I’m a fan now. This album is simply awesome
Top 3: Run Through the Jungle, Up Around the Bend, Who’ll Stop the Rain
Even the worst Beatles album is still great
Top 3: No Reply, Eight Days a Week, What You’re Doing
There’s a certain charm to early Beatles that I can’t resist
Top 3: All My Loving, You Really Got a Hold on Me, Not a Second Time
An album of highs and lows. A few tracks are too reminiscent of the band’s first few albums, but stuff like the run from Girl Don’t Tell Me to Let Him Run Wild are some of the best stuff the band ever did
Top 3: Girl Don’t Tell Me, Help Me Rhonda, Let Him Run Wild
Sneakily one of the Beatles best crop of tracks
Top 3: A Hard Day’s Night, And I Love Her, You Can’t Do That
Lotta songs on here are just average, and few are worth revisiting imo. The instrumentation is solid at the very least
Top 3: Hand of Fate, Memory Motel, Fool to Cry
The Stones expand their sound and make their first true classic… just listen to those marimba songs. I only wish Paint It Black could’ve been on here
Top 3: Mother’s Little Helper, Under My Thumb, Out of Time
Near pop-rock perfection, held back by a handful of clunkers
Top 3: Help!, Ticket to Ride, Yesterday
Sneakily one of the Beatles’ best. The first batch of songs is very good (Flying and Blue Jay Way are solid), and the second half is transcendent
Top 3: I Am the Walrus, Strawberry Fields Forever, All You Need Is Love
The Beatles go from incredible to unstoppable
Top 3: Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood, In My Life
Nearing sixty-four and still sick as hell
Top 3: With A Little Help From My Friends, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, A Day In The Life
Rock perfection. Every song is awesome
Top 3: Stairway to Heaven, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks
For better or worse, this is the album that defines the Stones for me. From its material, its varied styles, even the fact that some tracks here suck. But damn if they couldn’t make some bangers
Top 3: Miss You, Before They Make Me Run, Beast of Burden
A album that’s greater than the sum of its parts. Simply magic to experience, even in its weaker moments. Can’t believe Shine A Light wasn’t the closer, though
Top 3: Rocks Off, Tumbling Dice, Sweet Virginia
The most consistent the Stones ever got
Top 3: Sway, Wild Horses, Moonlight Mile
Fantastic stuff. Even the more filler-y songs have grown on me overtime
Top 3: Gimme Shelter, Let It Bleed, Monkey Man
Half of this album is quite forgettable, but the hitters here HIT
Top 3: Sympathy For The Devil, Jigsaw Puzzle, Street Fighting Man
Undeniable. Will never forget the first time I heard the long one
Top 3: Come Together, I Want You (She’s So Heavy), Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End
