This is my first community list.
The prompt is: "Aliens have come down from a previously unknown planet, and touch down right in front of your house. You come outside, and they speak English somehow, but they ask you for one thing- to give them a human album. You have an MP3 player, but it only can hold one album of any length. You can give the aliens any album for any reason, but please explain why you chose the album you chose."
If I didn't shout you and you'd like to submit an answer, please comment and let me know. Thank you!

My first pick.
Explanation: "May as well send them an album with a little bit of everything. Plus, a lot of the tracks here slap."

@TheRockPlayer's pick.
Explanation: "I say this because it's an album that talks about technology and that shit. Also, it released in 1997 and sounds very relevant to this day as technology gets more advanced every passing year. Also, it'll introduce them to mu core."

@GeMann's pick.
Explanation: "'Cause if a war sparks between earth and aliens, it better be due to species appropriation."

@EmiMoment's pick.
Explanation: "i'd let them know that it's the best human album of all time and shows purest forms of just pure silly fun while also tapping into the existentialism and permanence of human death and mortality"

@elitimesfour's pick.
Explanation: "Its wild variation of styles and tones makes it a great crash course on human emotion, the good and the bad. and it's just damn good."

@Rater's and @reaIreaIweaseI's pick.
@Rater's explanation: This tweet - https://twitter.com/flyinglotus/status/1344767159310798848 as well as "because it sounds oddly eerie and is one of those albums that makes me think 'wow, a human made this'.
@reaIreaIweaseI's explanation: "Even if it's not for me, I can't deny that the rapping and production are off the charts."

@Riskr's pick.
Explanation: "It paints an overly optimistic picture of humanity. Give them a good first impression, than hit them with my depression."

@Chode's first pick.
Explanation: "It paints this picture of being at the top of a mountain with the sun shining in your eyes as you're surrounded by dandelions and flourishing grass, encompassing the feeling of nature and engrossing you in the scenery that the most beautiful parts of the Earth have to offer."

@Chode's second pick.
Explanation: "vecause of of willam"

@CLJesse's pick.
Explanation: "A beautiful, shoegaze-y back drop to suit their space travels."

@ConcreteCastles's pick.
Explanation: "Even though I haven't listened to it, the concept is really cool: It has variety, and even though the music isn't exactly what I'd listen to, it's a cool record of humanity."

@okcomputer12127's pick.
Explanation: None given.

@redbded's pick.
Explanation: "Due to its beautiful and fun sound."

@Noz's pick.
Explanation: ":)"

@ImplicitDoom's pick.
Explanation: "It's basically alien music anyway."

@soundworld's pick.

@doofy's explanation: "because I want them to turn around and go away"

@Pickle's pick(le).
Explanation: "That album sounds so cold yet so warm. If those aliens come at my doorstep, they are probably amicable, so I'm going to send them minimalism madness and let them vibe to the album as they have come a long way to Earth."

@Basic_Garci's pick.
Explanation: "Because it is the best album ever created."

@eliiscool5's pick.
Explanation: "It's a combination of futuristic styles and hip-hop structures. And because I've been really digging the EP lately."

@MattsReviews's pick.
Explanation: "because of that dreamy, futuristic but also nostalgic feel, it encapsulates what humans can do, how far they can go with music."

@AZIZ's pick.
Explanation: "Tell them 'I cant be murdered by y'all, I'm one of y'all'".

@oh's pick.
Explanation: "It's a fun easy listen for everyone."

@YessYessYessYes's pick.
Explanation: "The contents that are withheld on that album are extraterrestrial. I would show them the record because I feel that it is able to distinctly evoke the human condition in 1 hour and 30 minutes with no singing or musical intervention that is other than an instrument. It’s potent and powerful and is able to trigger emotions that are deeply human and personal. It would be a great way to show the aliens a multitude of different sounds that evoke a multitude of emotions. It’s the most humane record in my personal opinion and I think that the concepts and sounds orchestrated on the record really encapsulate everything they would need to know about us as the human race. We love, we fight, we suffer, we struggle, we’re cruel and are capable of destroying the world around us yet we have hearts that are sympathetic and we can stand as one on important occasions that make us stronger than ever. We never stop fighting and no matter how negative or terrible it gets, for some reason, humans never seem to back down and that’s what this record means to me and hopefully to the aliens as well."

@Tatsky's pick.
Explanation: "It takes influences from a variety of styles, it features my favorite artist, and I can't think of anything more human than a person coping about facing his imminent death."

@Tatsky's second pick.
Explanation: "It's just relentless positivity. If the aliens don't smile listening to it, I would like them to leave my house lol"

@ParthanyJobtano's pick.

@nicoperagine's and @jessiehehe's pick.
@nicoperagine's explanation: None given.
@jessiehehe's explanation: "i think that album explains humanity perfectly."

@KnifeTrick's KnifePick.
Explanation: "Solely for the fact that there's a track called 'concert for aliens' and an interlude talking about alien names. And them aliens could be loud enthusiasts, Can never go wrong with a bit of pop-punk rock tune. I wanna see some aliens headbanging."

@TomBejoy's pick.
Explanation: "So they can rave."

@MrA's pick.
Explanation: "Because I want them to commit genocide on the human race."

@slamlesslamb's pick.
Explanation: "First, the album is truly a display of inimitable excellence from a musical and production standpoint and how the best music here on earth sounds incredible regardless of how old it is. Second, Rumours is an album that was driven by a lot of personal and relationship drauma, so I think it is a great piece of evidence of how music is a great outlet to vent about our personal lives, feelings, etc."

@louisomahoney's pick.
Explanation: "so they never come again"

@biglasagnayeet's pick.
Explanation: "In my eyes, it offers such a grand and intimate introspective on the human emotion that it’d, as effectively as possible, somewhat tell the aliens about what we feel as humans."

@Flamingooooo's pick.
Explanation: "Because it is the most beautiful and sensitive music that has ever existed on this planet. I only hope that the language barrier will not be a problem for aliens 😌"

@lilchefremy's and @garbeargao's pick.
@lilchefremy's explanation: "In my opinion it's probably the most human album ever made. It has history, love, death, everything you need to undersand humans. Also, it has a great range of sounds, from sweeping, grand chamber-pop epics to campfire ballads. It's a compact, deep experience."
@garbeargao's explanation: "Because it's beautiful, uses orchestral instruments, and is a smart encapsulation of human experiences."

@a1t3rthefreak's pick.
Explanation: "mostly cause i'm hoping that maybe it's gonna make their heads explode! but also cause i think it's a good example of what humans are like. we don't always make sense and can do the most bizzare things ever... but to me that's what being human really is. it's really just a rollercoaster of different thoughts, feelings and states of mind until it all ends one day. also... i don't want no basic ass aliens. if they can't simp for the album, they might as well leave...we have enough of that already on earth. the real question is what album would they give me?...an alien album sounds like fun tbh."

@Scre4meh's pick.
Explanation: "Because it's the most similar language to their normal language."

@TreyLikesBands's pick.
Explanation: "To show them that partying with us is really fun and definitely worth their time!! Don't kill us yet, let's have a rager!!!"

@hubbo's pick.
Explanation: "i'd probably like these aliens to see the beauty of earth, and maybe some of the complications of it, so i would probably send away in rainbows. beautiful with some complex/experimental stuff thrown in there too."

@Doofly's pick.
Explanation: "Because I think they would listen to it and think it's a lyrical masterpiece."
