King Krule - Man Alive!
Feb 21, 2020
90
King Krule is back with another full length and it finds Archie in a much more confident and self assured tone. The Ooz was a solid yet bloated album and this feels much more concise and cohesive. The usual lofi sadboi indie vibes here but there are bits of jazz and post punk also present. The songwriting is a step above The Ooz and the gloomy atmosphere is still present. This is some of Archie's best work and one of the best of 2020 so far.
What a great album cover...
