FINALLY JEEZ it feels like it’s been so long since this came out and I’m just now getting around to it. But arriving at Bjork’s 10th studio album, Fossora, I’m pretty satisfied. I honestly was hoping to like it a little bit more with all the hype surrounding it, but I still think it’s pretty cool. This album definitely feels pretty creative, even though not every single creative moment is my favorite. Some songs can be a bit tedious. Again though, those are my main complaints, this is still really solid with a lot of great cuts like Atopos, Fossora, Her Mother’s House and Freefall. She’s a bit more industrial here too with some tracks, and I find that sort of risk to pay off. Atopos really shows what I mean. Her Morhers House is beautiful. The title track has an amazing build. Love it. Freefall has beautiful instrumentation. It’s a solid Bjork album. With time we shall see if it grows even more, but for now I’m still liking it.
