Vince Staples - Cry Baby

Vince really struck the best of both worlds on this one. The groovy bass and that gnarrly guitar tone work perfectly with the political messaging.
Even though it’s probably just a sonic detour for him, hes still doing rap-rock as effortlessly as the Beastie Boys.

same flow on every track, the inability of just sticking with one idea to develop it and real tasteless overblown production makes this really hard to listen to.
My problems with the terrible MIDI-sounding Rock from the last album are even more prevalent here too.
What a disaster.
Peggy really lost his touch on this one.

James Blake - James Blake

This record turns silence into its own kind of instrument, which is probably why a lot of people dont connect with it immediately. It can seem kind of boring on first listen. All I can say is I highly recommend a few listens of this record, because when it clicks, it clicks in a way I have never experienced with any other album.
