Bondfångeri is basically like a sequel to Promoes first Swedish album, Kråksången. Promoe delivers clever wordplay, and every song has a groovy beat to go along with it. The songs are all mostly fun, but theres a couple who delve a bit deeper into different societal struggles. All in all there was never really a moment where I felt bored listening to this. Also I can't help but be biased because it's Swedish.

This album was a slog to listen to. It went extremely slow, and there was no overall substance in any of the words he rapped. Not to mention the entire album feels like it's desperately trying to start something, all of the time, but never really getting there. The beats are also extremely lackluster and weren't all too interesting. This album is way too long for its own good, as it's really just a big slop soup of mediocre love songs.

I'm sick as hell right now, and I don't really want to review this, just listening to distract myself. I do have to say though, that the melodies and instrumentals of this album ROCK, and that the vocals sound real cool and awesome and all that. Over all, nice solid album.

I. Love. This. This album consistently delivers a gloomy and dark sound for each song, while still sounding epic and unique every time. The lyrics here are awesome, sounding almost apathetic but also really deep and poetic. The songs on this album all dabble in different topics, so it doesn't ever get stale at any time.

This was... an... experience. The growling of the singer is literally incomprehensible, I swear to god that the lyrics are made up, but that's not to say it doesn't sound sick as hell. One problem I had with it is that all the songs started kind of melting together at the end, and I couldn't really tell when one started and the other ended, due to it sounding really just the same each song in my ears. The drummer retains the same, insane hyper-speed all throughout the album and I ... read more
This album dabbles in Danny Browns unhealthy lifestyles, and how he's constantly spiraling downwards through his drug abuse and relentless money spending. The sound of this is pretty unlike anything I've heard before, and I really enjoyed the almost grimy but really hard-hitting beats and grim lyrics throughout the album.
Favorite Track: Ain't It Funny
Least Favorite Track: Downward Spiral (I get the song, but it sounds kind of just strange.)
The pure sweet fat of the hog.
I'd say this album lacks a little substance on the lyrical front, however the awesome and great and wonderful rock hard beats truly do make up for the, at times poor lyrics. That's not to say the lyrics don't work or don't fit with the music, because they absolutely do, and overall this was a really enjoyable listen. The singer also sounds really aggressively British on a few of the songs, which made for some laughing as well.

In the sequel to JID's 2017 debut album; The Never Story, JID presents immaculately well-crafted lyricism along with great storytelling all through the album. You can really feel the emotion and effort that went into making this piece of art when listening. Great album, definitely a 10/10.
Favorite track: Either Kody Blu 31 or Sistanem.
Least favorite: Probably Can't Make U Change, if I had to pick.
This album is always a fun one to relisten to. It's got a lot of good songs and even though the lyrics get a bit silly at times they're still quite complex. Kanye, in this album, trades off his usual style from the Dropout trilogy for a more jarring and rougher sound. (I guess is the best way to describe it in my opinion.) It's also a nice reminder to the times when Kanye wasn't an unenthusiastic slop factory.
