[THE ROLLING STONE'S TOP 100 ALBUMS - ALBUM 20/ALBUM 81]

I always remember thinking this album had amazing production: and it does. In terms of sheer clean-ness of sound - this is one of the best sounding things I've ever heard. Sonically, it is so clear and so diverse that it is worth listening to just for those reasons.

In terms of the actual music... not my cup of tea really. Not completely sure why, but I did not have much fun with going through this. If it was my kind of thing I would really get the hype behind it. But it isn't.

Track list breakdown:

Pretty Hurts - She starts off on her strongest foot (with both this and the following track). Although it may be a slightly generic sounding pop ballad in some ways, I think it's still catchy and effective. (8/10)

Haunted - Chat I fw this. (8/10)

Drunk in Love - Just a bit too long and repetitive (a recurring theme). (6/10)

Blow - Really really funky base line - reminds me of a Jessie Ware track. Makes me incredibly uncomfortable when listened to in public. (7/10)

No Angel - (6/10)

Partition - (6/10)

Jealous - (6/10)

Rocket - (7/10)

Mine - (6/10)

XO - (7/10)

***Flawless - If it wasn't for the Adichie feat I would really dislike this song. (5/10)

Superpower - (6/10)

Heaven - The last two tracks do hold a gravity that a majority of the album lacks. (7/10)
