It's good, but definitely not worth the 8 years wait.
Fav tracks: Helicopter, Stole Ya Flow, STFU, Punk Rocky, Whiskey (Release Me), Robbery, Don't be Dumb / Trip Baby, The End
This album is like if Black Country, New Road's discography and Guru's Jazzmatazz series have a baby.
Never liked metal before, but this album might change my mind. Heathen, Amethyst, and Winona are some of the most beautiful songs I've ever listened. I've never thought a sound this harsh can be this beautiful.
Kinda sounds like one of those cheap 80s/90s singer-songwriter songs you would hear on radio for once in a while, but this one is actually good.
Most of the tracks here are just unnecessarily too long. That's my only complaint.
This album has the same problem as the previous one, it sounds unfinished, and a lot of promising ideas executed very badly (they even somehow ruined Sky City in this). This album sounds like one of those leaked unreleased Kanye albums you would find on Youtube. Even as a long time Kanye fanatic, I'm disappointed.
Edit:
The mixing is waayyyy better now. Sky City still sucks though.
Lofi hip hop chill beats to numb out all of your pain/momentarily forgetting your life problems and regrets.
This album sounds like biblically accurate angel, I can't find any other way to describe it.
This is basically Weezer for more degenerate type person. I like it though
