The Funeral Plan - The Funeral Plan

I’m not gonna rate this because it’s not my style of music so I can’t really appreciate it properly & have the correct insight (as is the case with most niche projects) but from what I heard I would say that if your intention was to be creepy/disturbing/unsettling then you definitely made me feel all of those… and mostly uncomfortable. Like sad memories were beginning to crop up a minute into track 2 and I had to kind of fast forward it to the end.

Also on here, Corbin's singing style sounds very Kid Laroi/Juice WRLD-ish, and it feels like his full singing ability isn't fully expressed.

Having said that, it was a super chill and calming listen. The majority of the tracklist didn't exactly jump out or captivate me, but I found ... read more

Spellling - The Turning Wheel

"The Turning Wheel" feels like if the magic of the Rennaisance or Golden Age of art was somehow transposed into 2021 and the beauty of the paintings were captured into songs.

I'm in awe with so much of this album. There is so much timeless charm here. It has so much contrast in the way the instruments are arranged inside a track. Firstly, the mix throughout is superb and so vibrant. The atmosphere of the album feels like a personal diary coming alive. It's a very introspective ... read more

Idles - CRAWLER

Not as captivating as their previous two efforts, but damn IDLES have this knack of putting you in a semi-introspective semi-atmospheric warzone in their music, and "CRAWLER" displays this dynamic brilliantly, even despite some minor missteps.
