Tallah - For the Recognition
Wow this goes hard! I am really digging this band. I am hearing a little bit of Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park, Code Orange, and Knocked Loose in their sound.
Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side
Important note before the song review, I just heard guitarist Joe Trohman's announcement about taking a break from Fall Out Boy due to mental health, I'm hoping the best for him during this difficult time.

Well, it's been almost six years since Young and Menace dropped and five years since Mania dropped. Time really does fly by. This song is a breath of fresh air compared to anything Fall Out Boy has released in the last decade. It's nice to hear the band members getting much more time to ... read more

David Guetta & Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue)
Unpopular opinion incoming...I actually kinda of like this song. In fact, I actually like this better than the original. It's not great but I dig the vibe, and I found it to be kind of refreshing as this song sounds like an 2010s club song in a good way.
Electric Callboy - Hurrikan
This song is weird and ridiculous even by Electric Callboy standards. It's a clocks in at a brief 1:39 and goes from Eurodance/German Schlager (European pop) to full on deathcore/metalcore by the end. Expect the unexpected from this band because the single before this one (Fckboi) was a pop punk song. This band sure knows how to have fun and I will definitely be checking out the album when it comes out.
Panic! at the Disco - Viva Las Vengeance
This had some promise but it is yet another flat and bland Panic song. That guitar riff is so basic and boring. Viva Las Vengeance (the entire album) was apparently recorded live to a tape machine which means the album is going to have a more organic sound. When I heard this, I became interested in Panic's new era. But besides the vocals, this song just sounds so flat. Some improvements over Pray for the Wicked but that's not exactly a high bar to reach. I seriously think Panic would benefit ... read more
Shinedown - Planet Zero
Some great songs but the interludes don't add much and lyrically all I here is "man we really do be living in a society, man." This band has gotten really fake deep and has been trying so hard to be meaningful lately and it is kind of annoying. I get it, the past 2 years have sucked balls, but I don't want to be reminded of that throughout the entirety of your 20 track album. There are some great songs, the production is good, the album kind of sounds like a mix of their poppy sound ... read more
Waterparks - Double Dare
Yeah, this is the only great Waterparks album. This band has kind of gone downhill after this album, especially with their two most recent albums. Entertainment is good, but is less consistent. With the band's two most recent albums, Fandom and Greatest Hits, they experimented with other genres outside of pop punk and pop rock like rap, electronic, drum and bass, hyperpop, and straight pop. I like that this band is willing to experiment. I would never knock a band for experimenting with their ... read more
Muse - Won't Stand Down
This is definitely an improvement over what they were doing on Simulation Theory. Which is an album I still regret buying. This song is the complete opposite of Simulation Theory as it just a straight hard rock/metal track with electronic and industrial elements in the verses. I don't really care for Matt's vocals in the verses. The verses all sound kind of sloppy to me. Same goes for the transitions from the verses to the heavy guitars. However, the riffs and drums on this track are tight. I'm ... read more
Electric Callboy - Pump It
This a goofy and cheesy metalcore work out song and I love it. The chorus is unbelievably catchy and the breakdowns hit hard. Music doesn't always have to be serious, it can be fun and dumb too!
ICE NINE KILLS - The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood
Yeah this album is cheesy, silly, and over the top but it is so much fun. The way this band is able to switch from melodic to absolutely brutal is really impressive. The choruses are so catchy and the breakdowns are so brutal. My top two favorites are Funeral Derangements and Take Your Pick. The latter of which features Corpsegrinder of Cannibal Corpse and goes full on death metal. Great performances, production, and unbelievable catchiness all throughout.
Three Days Grace - So Called Life
Generic butt-rock song that rock radio is going to love.
Volbeat - Servant of the Mind
It sure is a Volbeat album alright. This album marks the return to a heavier sound and is a step up from Rewind, Replay, Rebound which went for a lighter sound. It is a fun listen but could be cut down a little because this album is an hour long. It's another album of Volbeat doing what they do best and that's about it. I am glad this album is way more consistent than Rewind, Replay, Rebound because that album had some really boring and bland songs. It's also well performed and produced. Rob ... read more
Wage War - Manic
The clean production, autotuned clean vocals, and electronic elements were a turn-off for me on first listen, and this album does fall victim to metalcore clichés. But, the album grew on me with repeated listens. Songs like Relapse, Manic, High Horse, and Death Roll go so hard. The song Manic is the one that I didn't like at first but grew on me later. The verses of this song have trap beats, synths, and almost rapped vocals. It's not what I was expecting from this band. But, when the ... read more
Limp Bizkit - STILL SUCKS
Some ok songs but after 10 years all they could come up with was a 32-minute album with a lot of filler? The first half of this album slaps, but a lot of the songs on the second half are down right bad. Plus, Zakk Cervini produced this album and his production is too clean. Considering this is the same guy who has produced for Yungblud, Waterparks, and Poopy, this shouldn't be a surprise. Wes Borland and John Otto don't get much time to shine on this album. I will give Fred Durst some credit. I ... read more
Deftones - Genesis
This is the perfect album opener. It mixes Deftones heavy and beautiful sides perfectly. This song puts me in a good mood every time I hear it. Chino balances singing and screaming perfectly, Stephen's riffs are strong, Sergio's bass sound great, Frank's samples and electronic elements are beautiful, and Abe's drumming is thunderous.
Linkin Park - The Hunting Party
The fact that Drawbar with Tom Morello is just an instrumental track instead of a rap metal banger in the vein of Rage Against the Machine is a huge missed opportunity. Especially since this is Linkin Park working with Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello. I mean come. Imagine Mike Shinoda rapping along with Chester Bennington screaming over Tom Morello's unique guitar riffs and effects! That would have been amazing! The rest of the album is ok. The production could be better and ... read more
Swans - The Seer
The perfect fall album!!

This is the first Swans album I have ever heard. After listening to the band Daughters, I heard people comparing Daughters to Swans. So, I decided to check out Swans. Going into this album, I was fully aware of how long and difficult it is. This album is 2 hours long and has three monster tracks that are all 19 minutes or longer. One of which is 32 minutes! Maybe not the easiest starting point for a new Swans listener. But I wanted a challenge. I'm glad I gave this ... read more

Wolf Alice - Delicious Things
This is my favorite song on the album. It has a great vibe. Also, am I the only one who thinks the chorus of this song kind of sounds like the chorus of Cut My Lip by Twenty One PIlots? The drums, the vocals, and the overall vibe. It's what this song reminded of me the first time I heard it. And that is a good thing because Cut My LIp is one of my favorite songs on Trench.
Panic! at the Disco - The Ballad of Mona Lisa
This is my favorite Panic song. Panic has always been a frustrating "band" for me and some of their songs don't hold up. Still, this is probably their best song in my opinion. This is a return to the pop punk sound of their debut but without the dated electronics and awful auto tune. The chorus hits hard and I love the keyboards or chimes or whatever that main melody is.
3TEETH - Paralyze
I'm not too sure about this song. When I heard that 3Teeth was working with Mick Gordon, the composer of the Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal soundtracks, I got excited because that sounds like a perfect fit. A lot of the instrumentals of 3Teeth's previous songs sound like tracks from the Doom games. Considering that Mick Gordon produced this I expected this song to slap but it is kind of disappointing for me. The guitars and drums are kind of weak on this song. And I don't like the trap elements on ... read more
