One of the best rap albums from 2025. Mac’s estate continues to do him justice and proves that there is a way to make posthumous albums without tarnishing that artists legacy.
Rocky’s best album to date. (Album, not project) it’s just such a complete album. You have tracks like Holy Ghost and Everyday, which have crazy good hooks with great verses, then you have tracks like JD and LPFJ2, which are short, but have some of Rocky’s best rapping, and then you have tracks like L$D, which is super psychedelic.
This is a great mixtape by Mac that (in my opinion) needs more love. The Spins is Mac’s biggest hit to date, which is fair, it’s an amazing song. One of Mac’s best rap focused project.
Wow. This is a top 15 album of all time. I wanted to listen to this originally after listening to LYSF, but I was kind of scared, as I had heard it sounded like the end of the world. Just got around to listening to it today, and everything I heard was true. This album is so apocalyptic and eerie that it’s crazy. These songs should never sound relatable, but yet they kind of do, mostly because I feel like we are on the cusp of World War III. I actually heard somewhere that some guy used ... read more
I’m not a huge Gambino fan, I mean, I like Because The Internet and Awaken, My Love but the rest of his music to me is pretty mid. It’s honestly annoying how he can go from something like this, to creating something as mediocre as Bando Stone. Anyways, this is a great album. I love when artists try a different genre and succeed, like Let’s Start Here by Lil Yacthy. This is definitely one of those albums. The Neo-Soul/Funk sound was not what I was expecting off of this project, ... read more
A$AP Rocky delivers an amazing debut album. Not quite as good as Live.Love.A$AP but still amazing. It’s crazy how fast he got brought into the mainstream. Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Clams Casino, Danny Brown, Hit-Boy, and Rihanna in a music video, and more all on a debut is pretty crazy.
While I’m a bit sad Rocky didn’t spit anything new, this is the perfect song to remix with possibly the most well known beat in cloud rap. Beautiful song.
Early 2000s Kanye was a different breed, man. No skips. Near perfect album. Also just a really fun listening experience. Top 3 Kanye album and top 25 rap album ever.
Travis’s debut is his best work to date and I don’t think he will top it. 90210 is his best song, and there are so many really good songs. Not really any skips on this thing either. 2015 was a stacked year for hip hop and Rodeo only adds to that.
The best MJ album imo. Idk if this is a hot take and I don’t care if it is.
Whoever put me onto this (I lowkey forgot who) knows absolute ball. Amazing mixtape. Bossonlinis and Foolyiones pt 2 transcended me to the heavens.
One of the greatest mixtapes ever imo. This was my introduction to Rocky and to cloud rap as a whole. Peso, Demons, Sandman, Wassup, Bass, Leaf and so much more are classics. Only real problem I have with this is that Get Lit is kind of mid and Purple Swag shouldn’t have been on this thing.
Dawn FM is probably a better portrayal of 80’s music than most music from the 80’s. Halfway through forgot that this came out only 4 years ago.
Def one of Abel’s best albums (prob not better than trilogy tho) in my opinion, After Hours has the best story of any Weeknd album, and the world building is crazy. The vocals are also amazing on this album, but that’s to be expected from Abel at this point. Overall, a really cohesive, amazing album from 2020.
I always thought the lyric was “I’m in love with a Starboy” not “ I’m a motherfucking Starboy” and I love the fact that for years I just accepted without question that Abel just randomly became gay for one song. Amazing/near perfect song btw.
It’s a good album. Are there a ton of classics? Yes. Is there bloat? Yes. Is it overrated? Yes.
This is a summer classic at this point. The estate sale only adds to this album and somehow make this album even more summery feeling (I’m prob gonna edit this I’m not doing a good job of describing this album)
Swimming will forever be Mac’s best album to me. Starting off with Come Back To Earth, an intro that is too short, but still an 100/100. Hurt feelings I once replayed 10 times back to back, Wings still gives me chills every time I listen to it, even to this day. The second part of Self Care is beautiful, Ladders is so cheerful it’s infectious, Small Worlds is just straight up peak, Jet Fuel was all I had on repeat for like 3 months, 2009 is one of the most amazing, beautiful songs ... read more
