Causally one of the best rap albums ever with insane wordplay, lyricism, and flows. Biggie talks about topics like gun violence and suicide effortlessly.
100 review special:
Damn. I love this album so much. Mac’s estate chose the PERFECT album to release first after his passing. Woods is a top 3 song by Mac imo. The whole album is very trippy and psychedelic, which Mac’s music was already known for. Circles is a perfect addition to Mac’s already near perfect discography. My favorite songs by Mac are usually longer, which Woods and Good News are, and are some of my favorite Mac songs. I feel like I’m repeating myself lol. ... read more
Wow. Just wow. One of the greatest album experiences I’ve ever heard. Right after hearing this for the first time I remember just sitting in silence, not moving. I love the story, I LOVE the songwriting, and I love the simplicity within the production. Absolutely a perfect album.
Wow. What a way to celebrate 10 years of IDLSIDGO. It’s actually insane to see the character development through Earl’s songwriting, while still remaining true to his sound and sounding like the same Earl as always. I originally liked this album, then recently went back to it and fell in love with it all over again.
Ever since If Nevermore dropped I kind of see this album differently. Sure there are bangers like Hedon (mainly hedon) and Virgil’s Mania. But I feel like Danny really sold out with this album and tried to make as many hits as possible, which he stated on a livestream. And it worked. Uh oh and Inferno are everywhere. I’m so glad that he took a break and really locked in to create If Nevermore, one of my favorite albums of all time. Plus, he said he has two more albums in the vault ... read more
Mac’s darkest, most depressing project. The mixtape can be hard to stomach for some because of the run time, but in my opinion, is a top 3 album by Mac. All of the songs hit so much harder after he died. RIP Mac Miller.
Mac definitely finds his sound on this project, but other projects like Salad Days and This Old Dog really perfect it. Everything that is weak on this LP is better on the projects I just mentioned. I would still recommend this to anyone who wants to get into Mac Demarco, though.
Very relaxing album to listen to. Mac’s second best imo just below This Old Dog (review coming soon) . But yeah, if you want a good, easy listen this is the album for you.
This was a crazy album at the time, especially coming off of something like MBDTF, I really appreciate when artists completely switch it up and do the absolute unexpected just because they can. And that is exactly what Mr. West did here. On Sight is possibly the craziest start to an album I’ve heard from a mainstream artist. Hold My Liquor is so cinematic that it’s insane. New Slaves and Black Skinhead go hard af. My personal favorite, Blood On The Leaves, is so chaotic and insane. ... read more
I do not get the hype for this album. Lyrics suck, there’s barely any production, at times there’s NO production, the features are the only thing keeping this at a mid rating imo.
The only time I can say that a Taylor Swift album sucks without being doxxed
I accidentally deleted Spotify from my phone a couple of months ago and when I signed back in this started playing. I had never heard of it before so I kept listening to it. What the fuck Spotify??! This only gets 10 because it made me laugh
Lil Yachty doing psych rock was NOT on my 2023 bingo card. Thank God it actually worked, unlike a certain Lil Wayne project.
I mean, it’s called testing for a reason. Honestly, now that DBD dropped I like this album better because it kind of serves as a blueprint for DBD (even if it took 7 1/2 years)
