"God made me pretty, you made me mean"
- Ashnikko, Cheerleading
Somehow it feels as though Ashnikko catered specifically to my personal music taste with this album, so it's kind of sad to see all the negative reviews LOL. This album is full of loud and bombastic beats which are a treat to the ears along with edgy unapologetic lyrics about Ash's experiences as a sapphic woman.

This EP is quite disappointing from Akeos as I remember loving some of her past work, but this EP illustrates well why I don't see myself listening to all the latest dubstep/EDM releases anymore. The sound is heavy and unlistenable to the majority of the population and although being produced well this project comes off as generic heavy riddim/tearout mixed with attempts at other genres that are plagued by the ... read more
This album is a bit below par compared to Dorian's previous works. Although this album has some of my favourite Dorian songs to date like Touch Grass which combines edgy dubstep-inspired instrumentals with Dorian's typical parody of the chronically online and Idolize which has a super catchy hook that is 2000s pop-inspired hyperpop perfection, there are some definite lows. Symphony and Wanna Be a Star sound less like hyperpop and more like strange pop/rock mixtures with brass ornaments and they ... read more
So apparently this is a cover of a Marshmello song - which is kind of unfortunate. But I actually really like this. The vocals are good and the production is PEEKABOO at his strongest. The drop is ethereal and wubby, and the lyrics, while simple, work well. This song has aged well since its release.
Really weird intro. The first drop brings Peakaboo's signature wubby style that works more often than not. Eliminate's sound however hasn't evolved since 2020 and doesn't help to bring this song together. There is no flow from the first drop to whatever is happening directly after that. Overall this is nothing groundbreaking and is at it's worst pretty annoying.
The buildup had me expecting something a lot better. The first drop is instantly dated and sounds like two bass samples layered on top of each other that just don't go together. The vocal samples are just cringe, like seriously? "oh shit it's dubstep"? This also contains my arch-nemesis, a fakeout drop 😔, in the year of our lord 2023. The second drop sounds like it's trying to be psytrance but it just doesn't execute very well.
Sweet vocals paired with a melodic buildup are well done but lack creativity. Eliminate's signature sound comes through in the first drop, while the second drop is Eliminate's version of a generic melodic drop. An overall pleasant listen, but nothing groundbreaking.
Who is Johnny?
This is such a cute and easy-listening song but whats with the Irish-sounding drop lmfao.
PinkPantheress' part is great but Destroy Lonely ruins the song.
