The Strokes - Is This It

Been wanting to check out The Strokes for a good long while now, cause their 2020 album “The New Abnormal” is probably one of my favorite things to happen to indie rock in the past few years. I adored that record so damn much, that the idea of going through their mainline projects really sat with me for a while. SO, lets get on with it, shall we??

The Strokes’ debut album “Is This It?” Is a damn great start for a band. For being fresh into the scene, they really found their niche real quick, with songs like “Someday” and “Hard to Explain” being some really great steps for the group! Julians voice sounds great on here, the LoFi sorta dirty feel on his vocals sounds really cool. Kinda reminds me of early CSH a little bit, but in a way that actually makes the songs good. I really loved this debut a lot, and while I don’t think it really is AS good as I was hoping it would be, its still a great start and sign of what’s to come. Im excited to see what else they have in store later on.

Worst Track: When It Started (which i don’t know if it even counts, cause its more of a bonus track than anything since it replaces New York City Cops, but whatever)
