I think I’m falling in love with this band.
“Heavenly VS Satan” is such a fun album. It’s not the emotional powerhouse that “Atta Girl” was, but it’s still an immensely fun and carefree vibe that I just feel in love with through the runtime. Brief Review: “Fast Car” clears basically clears the whole album easily. But even still, this is still an insanely solid folk record. Not really much else to see here, but still, it’s quite a damn great piece of folk tunes. Some amazing writing, Tracy’s vocals are great and generally the production is just great. Great record.

Brief Review: Not quite as consistently amazing as the A-Side of the album, but these B-Sides still have that fun carefree energy that made the OG album so special for me. Makes sense why some of these were cut from the album, but still, a fun little extension.
Sucks cause the general sentiment of the song is something I have a personal connection with. But MAN that welfare line and just the general way conservatives have inducted him in their culture wave just ruins the song for me. Sucks cause otherwise this would’ve been right up my alley.
You know that running joke in Sesame Street where Elmo has beef with a rock purely on the fact that it’s a rock? Replace the rock with Taylors music, and generally that’s how I’ve felt with a lot of her stuff. My only real exposure to CRJs work was the smash hit Call Me Maybe, so off of that I was never really intrigued enough to check her other works out. Brief Review: Solid bit of depressive folk. Lyrics hit quite a personal touch, and I think the instrumentation and vocals add a lot to the experience too. Sadly didn’t hit me like it has for other people, but still, pretty good.
Never really got that much into Lorde before, so thought I’d finally change that here, and my god, this was so much better than I was anticipating. “Melodrama” is an album with a perfectly fitting album title, with some of the easily best production of the 2010s. Easily one of the best K-Pop records Ive ever heard.
Always seen this album get tossed around in the sphere of good k-pop albums, so I decided to jump in and see what the buzz was all about. This EP is what I feel a lot of K Pop stuff fails to do, especially in the mainstream. It’s fun. It’s a continuous engaging experience that puts a smile on my face for basically its entire runtime. It is easily a top 5 k pop album for damn sure. Glad I finally checked it out.

Brief Review: Wilbur comes back with a solo project thats… actually pretty good. I’d say this is around the same level of quality as his Lovejoy album this year, so if you’re looking for a more folk centric record from Wilbur, this is prob gonna be something to look into. Brief Review: Not as grand of a statement as “London Calling”, but even still, The Clashes self titled debut is a damn solid founding project for the punk movement of the 70s. Not a whole lot else to say about it, considering how open and shut of a case this is nowadays for the genre. But still, a damn solid punk album all these years later.

Personally I’m more of a The Clash guy myself, but DAMN is this a good ass punk album.
Clear to see how this was influential to basically all punk music in the coming years, as the aggression and plain absurdity are just as prevalent on here as they would be for many other punk records in the future.
