It was one typical mid-August's scorching afternoons back in Summer 2016, when I was lazing around on my bed looking at Pitchfork's Best New Tracks. The cover art of the track "Seven Words" with Natalie Mering (aka Weyes Blood) wearing a light blue satin suit, laying down reposed by a shore, stole my attention. Following the heavily underrated, ethereal "Gravity The Seducer" took Ladytron 8 years, and the new self-titled album acts as a reminder of how great this band has been over the course of almost 2 decades now. This album's strongest attribute is its consistency, as all these 13 songs serve a purpose here. From the first time I listened to "Lemon Glow" on Valentine's Day, I knew that this album was going to be special. There has always been something about the consistency on Beach House albums and "7" is the epitome of that.
