Joni Mitchell - Blue
100

Getting through this album without tearing up once or twice is like trying to eat soap with chopsticks

The Offspring - Americana
55

Outside of a few standouts like The Kids Aren't Alright, Pretty Fly, and No brakes this was a pretty uninteresting listen

Green Day - Dookie
90

Yeah so that album title was just a straight up lie

Metallica - St. Anger
10

The whiplash you get from listening to this after something like Ride the Lightning or the Black album is unreal

Prince and The Revolution - Purple Rain
100

A crowning achievement in pop music.

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
70

It's significance in terms of Kanye's legacy cannot be understated and has some of his best tracks, but the second half of this record has some seriously bad moments like the Chris Rock sketch or the unnecessarily long, annoying mumbles during the last three minutes of Runaway.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
75

This is easily my favorite concept for an album ever. A few weak points like LOYALTY and GOD but overall a powerful look into Kendricks life and the struggles he's dealt with before and after the fame.

Charli xcx - BRAT
100

Edit (95 -> 100) Ok yeah its perfect. I haven't relistened to the album for a month now but I still remember every song by heart. This thing is so fun and so infectious its hard not to bop my head or start dancing in my room no matter what mood im in.

After countless re listens I have to admit that BRAT might be my favorite project of 2024 so far. Charli has created a near perfect Pop album with banger after banger. Charli managers to combine elements of Pop, Electronic, and House ... read more

Metallica - Ride the Lightning
95

If the god of rock ever came down from the heavens. This would be his soundtrack.

Metallica - Master of Puppets
100

Nothing will humble you faster than realizing that these guys made this when they were 23.

Radiohead - Kid A
100

It took a couple listens for it to really click but, Kid A is a wonderful expression of how the band dealt with burnout post OK Computer and it culminates in a depressing, sometimes peaceful piece of music that signified a significant shift in Radiohead's sound

Radiohead - OK Computer
100

Nothing was more depressing than listening to this for the first time this year and realizing that this album is almost 25 years old and still relevant to the world we live in.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
100

Tyler's greatest album hands down. A wonderful mix of everything he's learned up to that point in his career. The beautiful piano chords, the aggressive synths, and banging percussion combine to make up one of the greatest albums of the 2010's

MF DOOM - MM..FOOD
90

It's like comfort food for my ears

Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
90

What I would do to experience hearing Rotten Apple and Nutshell for the first time again.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
100

A celebration of everything West Coast Hip Hop and a powerful commentary on societal issues, this album has cemented itself in music history and in my brain with its infectious beats and brilliant lyricism.
