I decided to start this at 5 pm. When the album finished (including some shortish breaks), it was about three in the morning. 15 minutes later I am writing this to say, those 10 hours were well fucking spent. What an experience, what an undertaking, what an adventure this was. The French folk duo Natural Snow Buildings' masterpiece Daughter of Darkness sent me to another world entirely. Take Me Back to Eden in interesting project, to say the least. When I first heard about it, I never expected the mix of genres the band presented to work - I expected to hate it - but was pleasantly surprised!
They genuinely pull it off really well for the most part, and it often makes an awesome dynamic that sounds really good; they don't hit all of the time, though.
