this feels genuinely unfinished... it doesn't move, it's just stuck with this exact same beat for ages. The lyrics feel like generic mush too... Yeah, no thanks.
I felt masochistic tonight, so I put this on at 5AM.
And honestly, I feel a little disappointed. This was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Movers and Shakers had me genuinely bopping my head at one point and the tracks This Is England and North and South did hit me emotionally. So yeah, I'm gonna say it, this is overhated. Probably because the name "The Clash" is attached. I would bet that if this was made by a nobody it would maybe be double the rating.
Honestly, this album was a little bit too horny for me. And this guy should stick to producing because good god he just shouts his lungs out for 27 minutes straight.
the first 20 seconds are one of the best things I've ever heard. And then it keeps building and building and HOLY FUCKING SHIT this is just amazing.
I JUST LISTENED TO JPEGMAFIA WHY IS EVERY ALBUM REACHING #1 NOW AAAAAAAH
Rating soon
you know, it was great already, but then she goes
I TOLD YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This 73 minute wall of noise struggles to fall under the definition of "music". But if this isn't music, I'd consider it abstract art. Torture for some, catharsis for others. Just know what you're getting into before you throw this on the aux.
OG review: Weirdly relaxing. But wouldn't listen to this too often. Might break my eardrums.
So this might be a contender for my favorite Porter Robinson song ever after the first listen. I'm not joking. I almost fucking cried.
*edit* I did cry
