Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
92

Day 22 - There isn't much to be said about this album that hasn't already been said. An absolute masterpiece that ranks in the best rap albums of the decade with songs so beautifully produced and planned that you can't help but admire them no matter what Kanye is saying in the media.

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future
87

Day 21 - Such an enjoyable listen, Denzel makes it look way too easy. From his flow to his beats a lot of these songs are so uniquely enjoyable and it's clear that they will stay this way for awhile.

Sublime - Sublime
84

Day 20 - Some of these songs aren't my favourite but with classics like Santeria and What I Got this album no doubt had an impact. Their rhythm and vibes are also a lot of fun which creates an enjoyable listen for any occasion.

Anderson .Paak - Malibu
82

Day 19 - As someone who only knew of Anderson .Paak through Silk Sonic, this was an awesome surprise. Not only is this album so much fun, but it has layers to it as well. In my opinion, this is something that will without a doubt stand the test of time.

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
85

Day 18 - The storytelling on this album is exceptional and Tyler knows how to pick a lane and stay in it, but some of the songs went on slightly long (not S/ITYWTD) and DJ Drama didn't really help. Overall a very strong piece, but definitely not my favorite of his.

ScHoolboy Q - BLUE LIPS
80

Day 17 - Is it a stunning classic? Not necessarily, but his flow is effortless and the talent is undoubtedly there. My biggest complaint is that some of the songs tend to blend together but the overall theme makes this album a worthwhile listen and a very strong piece compared to other rap albums in 2024.

Mac Miller - Circles
88

Day 16 - Wow. As far as posthumous albums go this is definitely one my favourites. So many incredible moments and this really is the type of piece that sticks with you. Tragic yet comforting, there really are no skips here.

Childish Gambino - Bando Stone and The New World
82

Day 15 - Some parts of this album may not resonate with many people (myself included), but that's just what happens when someone like Glover is taking the risks he does. I wouldn't have it any other way either, although not a juggernaut, this piece is so much fun and is an undoubtedly strong farewell to Glover's latest successful endeavor.

Baby Keem - The Melodic Blue
83

Day 14 - Although some of these songs aren't the best, Baby Keem shows incredible potential in this album. His ability to switch between moods quickly is impressive and the talent is undoubtedly there. Is this perfect? No, but definitely a lot of fun.

Vince Staples - Dark Times
84

Day 13 - Just getting into Vince Staples and this album hit hard. The way he is able to blend dark introspective with catchy hits is very impressive. He doesn't try to do too much or be something he isn't which is very refreshing. At only 35 minutes in length this piece comes and goes in the blink of a eye, as it should.

JID - The Forever Story
92

Day 12 - JID really dropped this banger like it was nothing. Such a fun and experimental album, his potential really showed here. Not only that but the lyricism and playfulness is also extremely impressive too, leaving the audience with a timeless classic.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
93

Day 11 - Easily Tyler's best album. The deep synthwaves that accompany a rich love story throughout the entirety of this album make this such a fun listen that becomes a deep and sad story when you really sit with these tracks.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
91

Day 10 - The fact that this this album garnered Kendrick a Pulitzer Prize is no mystery to anyone who has listened to the deeper meaning of these songs. Not only are they all catchy but the lyricism and depth that oozes from all of these songs makes this a timeless classic. Not to mention the reversibility that changes the entire meaning of the story. Truly a unique and rewarding piece of art.

Joey Bada$$ - 1999
87

Day 9 - One of, if not, the best mixtape of all time. This truly is an enjoyable listen but to think that he was doing all of this at 17 years old is just incredible. His flow and lyricism are on another level and shows in this timeless classic.

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
91

Day 8 - The emotional complexity of this album is absolutely breathtaking with each song seemingly building on the last. Unlike anything I've listened to before, a truly beautiful work of art.

Silk Sonic - An Evening With Silk Sonic
91

Day 7 - Instead of each song standing alone, this album does an incredible job of creating one overarching vibe that is both infectious and carefree. This collection of songs never fails to raise the mood as Mars and Paak have created an album with some of the best chemistry I have seen.

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
90

Day 6 - A fleetingly somber album that is truly beautiful from top to bottom. Bon Iver shows time and time again how talented he is and this piece never seems to get boring.

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
85

Day 5 - A short and sweet album that is very well produced. Packed with incredibly likeable beats this is no groundbreaking piece of work, yet is an enjoyable listen at any given time.

Typhoon - White Lighter
96

Day 4 - Genuinely one of my favourite albums of all time and a criminally underrated one at that. The picture that Morton paints is so undeniably beautiful with all of the songs melding into a bittersweet symphony that is over all too quickly.

Childish Gambino - "Awaken, My Love!"
87

Day 3 - A lot of people like to write this album off and say Redbone is the only good song here, but when listened to sequentially the vibe it creates is unmatched. These songs work so well together and create a cohesive, if fleeting, masterpiece that ends up in my top albums year in and year out.
