The flows/lyrics haven't aged all that gracefully but you can't deny the influence of this album, and it sounds good for the era it was born in. Kerry King kerried though.

The perfect blend of the brooding, no-wave sounds of their early work, and the folk projects they were dishing out right before this.
Gira & co. found a balance between these sounds that would otherwise sound awful together, at least on paper; they seamlessly pull this off and keep this consistently engaging for it's entire runtime. A marvel in their catalog.
