For YouTuber music this is honestly very impressive. The production and writing were really well done and is way better than his first single. Definitely Spotify playlist worthy.
Sounds like generic EDM but the vocal chops and melodies give it something a little more special.
Perfect. This is my favorite album of all time. The old timey choir hasn't been done this well ever in modern day music. This has every type of music that I love in one album. Next Up Forever with its choir transitioning to a badass vocal performance and instrumental is probably the best album opener I've ever heard. Birthday Party with its comedically meta story like lyrics. 100 Bad Days with a very creative music video. Don't Throw Out My Legos where they sampled their own sample and combined ... read more
Its thirdtty thirauy thurdday!!1!!11!1 While this album is fun it is probably some of the most generic 2012 type pop music you'll ever hear. I really like the instrumentals and melodies to the lyrics. The lyrics themselves are, well, words on a screen or audio file. Some songs I do genuinely like are Pitchfork Kids, Big Idea, Livin' on Love, Woody Allen, and The World Is a Marbel Heart. Which is more of a selection than what I think of OKO. I'd listen to Thirsty quite a bit for the memes I hate ... read more
This album is interesting and not really in the AJR way I expected it to be. I think it is lower than TMM, Neo, and The Click. I think a good percentage of the songs are actually kind of boring. Bummerland is probably my least favorite as it feels like you can find melodies from that song in every other song. It feels like Bummerland is a recycled mess. The Bummerland demo had so much going for it, but it was just absolutely butchered. I only find myself actually not skipping like 3 of the ... read more
The idea of this soundtrack even existing is so silly but unironically one of the best soundtracks I've heard. I love the lyrics in "A Fertile Wood at Heart" and think it's really silly and adorable. Nothing feels out of place with the setting each track takes place. The boss music is really bass heavy which contrasts to the rest of the environment and imo I think it clashes in a surprisingly great way. Some of these melodies are the catchiest jingles I find myself humming. This ... read more
I love this soundtrack so much, nostalgia aside, I think the settings in which these tracks take place in is very accurate and adds so much to the game. Wilikin Village is one of the best songs I've ever heard in a video game soundtrack. And Drill-X's Big Rig fits perfectly with the theme of the level it takes place in. The boss fight music which isn't in the track list is absolutely insane and would always go back to Drill-X and Kaos just to hear it. This perfectly incapsulates what kind of ... read more
