Janelle Monáe - Dirty Computer
NR

It’s sexy, smart, funky and catchy.
The record sparks personality. Her voice is really soft, sometimes the album feels just a little boring production and vocal-wise but it is a triumph overall, this has some serious bangers! Sometimes the songs can feel a bit long....anyways, this bops.....

Sky Ferreira - Night Time, My Time
NR

I wish I liked this as much as you guys...
I really love “I blame myself” and the amazing “24 Hours” but this album it’s noisy ( not in a good way ) and sometimes very repetitive. She has a big potential for sure, but personally this is not a solid project...

Christine and the Queens - People, I've been sad
NR

🥰
I love this song, it’s very reminiscent from her sound on her self-titled album but even better, this is so good, also knowing the both languages makes the experience even better

Beach House - Bloom
NR

Dream pop at its best, every song in here is just amazing, the production is really good, the beats in each song are somewhat raw but the music is so dreamy that makes such an experience, the singing is very expressive. It’s such a unique pop album, for some reason I play this and I get excited... and I think you need to listen this for sure.

Moses Sumney - Polly
NR

Guys this is special, the lyrics are so smart and raw, go and listen!

Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
NR

Guys don’t get tricked! After some listens gets good AS HELL.

Lily Allen - Alright, Still
NR

This is actually a great pop album. She has a lot of personality in her voice tone and in the lyrics.
It’s like... a little gem among a lot of ‘’mainstream’’ pop albums in 2006. ‘’Smile’’, ‘’LDN’’, ‘’Not big’’ and ‘’Friday Night’’ are fun pop songs that feel classic and incredibly fun to be honest. There is no much to say about this record...

Ibeyi - Ash
NR

Ash is a modern art-pop and a electro-minimalist album, which takes influences from latin music. This album is kind of vulnerable... but strong at the same time. Beautiful... with a direct and clear message to the listener, but with a kind of weak sound to be honest.
The autotune did work a lot of the tracks, but after listening her ideas full of substance, power, beauty, song ideas that surprisingly fitted the minimalistic production, (they even had Kamasi Washington!) I just feel really ... read more

Everything Everything - Arc
NR

Arc it’s a pop-rock album of great tracks with fun production that showcases the potential this band has. The vocalist brings a lot of personality to the record. The aesthetic of this album is very vibrant and dark at the same time, that makes it feel entertaining and exciting, but sometimes confusing. Sometimes it feels like it lacks of something, some songs build a lot of tension that is never really over, an that makes them less enjoyable than they could be. For me, personally ... read more

Paramore - After Laughter
NR

I don’t think this record is changing the game, or maybe even contributing something to the pop-rock genre. But I do enjoy this a lot. There are a lot fun tracks! The production is funky and vibrant, and the lyrics... well... are kind of depressing but aren’t bad. ‘’Grudges’’ is such a great song, the singles are kind of ‘’trapped in the same aesthetic’’ but, this record actually became one of my favorites in 2017. I enjoyed this ... read more

St. Vincent - Actor
NR

Actor...
This is the first record form st. Vincent that I have listened... and... it’s amazing.
I used to play this record as ‘’background music’’ for more that two weeks...
One day, I heard it with headphones... I fell in love with this record.
Maybe the las track is weak, but everything in here is strong.
The Strangers is... one of my favorite songs ever. The transition form ‘’Black Rainbow’’ to ‘’Laughing with a mouth of ... read more

Parquet Courts - Wide Awake!
NR

MUST HEAR

There are plenty of garage-rock and punk tunes, but there are also more daring, exciting and brilliant tracks. It is also among 2018's most political efforts. The groovy, punk-ish rhythms and savage’s voice of this album are what makes it this special and enjoyable. And album that is extremely timely and socially and politically relevant. An album that will be relevant for years to come and likely remembered as among the year’s very best. The melodies, topics and ... read more

M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.
NR

It is so diverse, a lot of textures, sounds, worlds. Very atmospheric and not just the best M83’s record, it is one of the best electronic albums of 2010’s. The album feels so cohesive and beautiful.

Anderson .Paak - Oxnard
NR

OMG im listening to this with earbuds because I'm going to review it and at the end of ''headlow'' I got scared LMAO. I feel so stupid hahaha, did anyone had the same experience? 😂

The Actual review: I find out this album pretty enjoyable, not as fun and vibrant Malibu, but there are great songs in here. ''Who R U'' was probably the worst songs of the album. Tints is catchy as hell! The features are OK, maybe the Dr, Dre & Cocoa Sarai did not do it for me but, well, it is what it is. ... read more

Mk.gee - Pronounced McGee
NR

This album : needs more recognition

Needs some heavy bass sometimes to make the songs less bland in the first half of the record
The peak of this album are the guitar chords, he likes to experiment with the guitar and different sounds and rhythms.
It has a Fun and entertaining production. Definitely the vocals are the complement to the production, cause production the is the main thing in here. It has a tropical vibe that I really enjoy and is not that ''generic tropical vibe''. I think he ... read more

Kali Uchis - Isolation
NR

This album is: Probably one of the best R&B/Pop albums of the year

Isolation is an album that has sound variety, her voice is very versatile and she is full of personality. Some bangers on the album that are pretty memorable, the melodies are catchy as hell, the production left me in awe because is so good! Love the tropical and sexy vibe she delivers in this album. Almost every song was different and rich sonically. The only tracks that weren't strong like the others were ''Feel like a ... read more

Blood Orange - Negro Swan
NR

This album is: from another world.

This album is surrounded by stories of life, lost, love, anxiety, and even getting jumped in school
This is the type of R&B and piano jazz that I've been waiting for to be released. ''jewelry'' and ''charcoal baby'' are tracks that deliver the best of the album. This album feels very cohesive, so cohesive that I could call this a concept album.
Though nothing from the album may ever get played in a ballroom, but this album is so airy and enjoyable!!! The ... read more

Sudan Archives - Sink
NR

:This EP actually surprised me.

I am a violinist and I never thought I would enjoy electronic/pop music mixed with the violin. I think she is being very creative and smart mixing this music to create catchy melodies and entertaining production. THE only track that I definitely couldn’t keep listening was ‘’beautiful mistake’’ I felt this was out of tempo. And I really liked the song ‘’Pay Attention’’ but the chorus was actually weak. ... read more

Amen Dunes - Freedom
NR

MUST HEAR

I can see myself listening to this for all my life probably
It clicked me at the third listen, and this is... one of those albums that you feel greatful to found. Definitely recomended for those who like pop with rock vibes, and his voice is very peculiar. The melodies were solid, the lyrics were almost perfect for this record. This is really, really great. This is definitely inspired by classic soft-rock, so nice...
The guitars and the beats couldn’t have been better.
Looking ... read more

"el problema es que ella en entrevistas promocionando su single habla de "embracing my latin roots" y de lo importante que es lo latino y el español blah blah blah. Si tanto le importara pues creo que lo hubiera hecho ya desde hace mucho tiempo. Aristas de lengua hispana se están volviendo mas internacionales y "reconocidos", y pareciera que ella quiere subirse en ese tren porque tampoco su música es un poco aburrida y no va en ninguna dirección lmao"
