Since that Bruno Mars x Anderson .Paak album is in the 2021 pipeline, I decided to go through both artists discogs and see what each has to offer on their own.
Anderson's debut album is an okay album, but at the same time is a bit of a mess of an album. There isnt really a concrete sound or style on here, there are just a few different ideas just kinda slapped together onto an album. You have tracks like "Milk n' Honey" or "Put You On" which are hip-hop bangers, to stuff like "Miss Right" and "I Miss That Whip" which are on the soulful RnB side of the album. It feels more like a mixtape more than an album tbh, with how messy it is. Its still a good album, tho, with how messy it is, but I'm hoping that with "Malibu", Anderson becomes more focused and concrete with a single sound/style, whether it be on the hip-hop or the RnB side.
Best Tracks: Milk n' Honey, Might Be, Miss Right, Put You On, Already, I Miss That Whip, Paint, Luh You, Off the Ground
