Mitski - The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We
i like mitski but this just didn't seem very memorable to me
Madison Beer - Silence Between Songs
heartfelt and well-made but quite bland and generic
The Armed - Perfect Saviors
this just makes me think of the strokes going noise rock
$uicideboy$ - I No Longer Fear the Razor Guarding My Heel (V)
they can do better. this ep feels like a whole lot of nothing. a few decent song ideas that go nowhere
Tirzah - trip9love...???
an improvement over her last album, but still rather aimless and repetitive at times.
Anatomy Of A Ghost - Evanesce
this album really should get more attention
Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
not a huge stylistic evolution from sour, but a more mature showing from olivia, showing continued growth as an artist.
Tinashe - BB/ANG3L
pretty good, although it is disappointingly short
Teezo Touchdown - How Do You Sleep At Night?
seems like this is quite the divisive album, and i can see why - it's certainly not for everyone. overall, though, i found it to be a pretty fun album. yeah, it's kind of goofy at times, but i enjoyed it and it left a smile on my face most of the time. i don't fault anyone for disliking it, though. it's definitely an inconsistent album, and not all of its songs hit like they should.
Sprain - The Lamb as Effigy
for the most part, i really enjoyed this album, although i feel like it would be better without the final track, which is the longest while also being, in my opinion, the weakest track
Jeff Rosenstock - HELLMODE
i don't always love the stylistic experiments, but i can appreciate the creativity. the more typical pop-punk songs are jeff's usual, but still enjoyable as always.
The Hotelier - Home, Like Noplace is There
well-written if somewhat generic emo. it's quite earnest, which i say as a positive. i just find that the album feels rather inconsistent, with some rather weak tracks peppered in with much stronger tracks.
Horrendous - Idol
great album cover and great album too
envy - All the Footprints You've Ever Left and the Fear Expecting Ahead
i don't know what he's saying but he seems sad
Addison Rae - AR
it's decent and much better than her past musical output. fun at times, even if it's not always the most original music out there. i think she actually has potential to make something pretty good in the future if she continues to work on honing her sound.
DJ K - Panico no submundo
not sure what they're saying but it sounds pretty good
Girl Ray - Prestige
a fairly fun disco album, even if it doesn't do anything too unique. i think the vocals and vibes kind of carry the album.
Trippie Redd - A Love Letter To You 5
better than his last album but it's mostly just boring. "helicopter" is terrible but at least it's entertaining, which is more than can be said for a lot of these songs.
