I think this album suffers from a lot of the same problems as its debut, where there are good-to-great moments scattered throughout the project, but overall these are just fleeting moments in a mess of slog. This is especially apparent in the beginning, but as you surpass the second half of the album, the hooks appear more consistently and more impactfully. A step ahead their debut album, but still a step behind their peers in the UK post-punk movement.
