This album was a pretty weird first listen for me.
Personally speaking, I'm kinda happy that Carti took a different route with this, and experimented heavily with his sound in the first half , which can be described as Industrial Rap or Punk Rap.
Second Half is where he stuck more to his roots , and delivered tracks which his fans are most used to listening to. As a person who has listened to both Self Titled and Die Lit , it was easier to listen to.

How is this album rated soo low by the AOTY community?! Anyways I respect your opinions, everyone is entitled to theirs.
That being said , I love this album from start to finish. I love the entire concept of the album , presented in the form of a therapy session until the 9th Track , Lesley ( I love this track , Dave rapping deeply from his soul about a woman trapped in an abusive relationship, with a great message).

Personally i loved this tape so much , and this is so slept on. He sings and sing-raps on many of these instrumentals , and funnily enough there were quite a few funny lines here and there .
I'm pretty sure I've heard the sitar or veena or whatever in an Indian song before , not able to recall it tho.
Anyways I loved his vocal delivery and vocal inflections , and this should be a genre in itself - hood pop.

Look , Gunna is an artist that makes great chill tracks and is a rapper you listen to for the vibes , but he's not that good at making whole projects. My listening interest keeps fading off after the first half of the album, and the production is actually what saves this and makes it half-decent.
One of Lil Uzisl's most slept on projects. Every track in this tape slaps , thanks to Uzi's brilliant flows and most importantly the production. This was more spacey to me than Eternal Atake :/
