Idk, for most of the tracks here, the Melody just isn’t there. Although I have fallen in love with the production she uses, the songs are a bit forgettable. Fav:time bandits
i went into this thinking i would hate it bc i’m newer to the post-rock genre scene, but the melodies are more pop oriented then i thought. even the last 3 tracks that are on the longer side feel short and relaxing even if they are tackling some hard topics. i guess i don’t really like how bleak some of the tracks some but then again it’s is more post-punk feel. overall i like a lot!
every song is a boooop. from the noisier songs like little things to the more chill songs like promise is a pendulum, big thief achieves a consistent album combining different sounds and genres into a almost perfect album. it’s almost like what then we’re trying to do on U.F.O.F. but with more vivid and enjoyable melodies.
Hi there and thanks a lot for following me! Recently I got a feeling that there is like A LOT of artists that I'm sleeping on - so I'm trying to make a list of interesting artists that didn't have a chance to get to international/mainstream level. Maybe someone you know just because they're very local/based in the city/country you live in? or maybe someone who you just randomly know and is criminally underrated. And maybe someone really good and well-known in your country but who just couldn't reach international public? (for example I'm Polish - most of the artists sing in polish so they don't stand a chance to be known internationally). Let me know if you have any ideas, and have a great day! :))
