If you read my review for the King Gizzard live album from this year, you'd know I didn't think live music could physically get better than those performances at Red Rocks. Yet, I was proven stupidly wrong only a few weeks later
This album hit the exact same emotional chord that my all-time favorite piece of music (The NieR: Automata OST) hit for me. I got teary-eyed an embarrassing number of times on my first listen of this record ... read more
I distinctly recall not understanding why people didn't like this record when it first came out..... I can understand more now. The record is basically a couple of hits surrounded by a sea of bland
Favorite Track: Dancing's Not a Crime (I don't care what the user score says, this song is fun goddamnit)
Least Favorite Track: DYING in LA (Seriously, why does Brendon say it like that?)
This record didn't hold up as well as I thought it would. I remember loving the hits, but most either did nothing for me or actively hurt returning to them. I would give a lower score but this thing is HARD carried by its second-half which houses some great deep cuts
Favorite Track: House of Memories (I liked this song before it was a Tiktok hit so shut up
Least Favorite Track: Death of a Bachelor (Solid vocal performance from Brendon, ... read more
This record is a lot more consistent than I remember it being. Some forgettable tracks here and there, but they're made up for in full by the highlights here
Favorite Track: Casual Affair (Probably will always be my favorite Panic song
Least Favorite Track: The End of all Things (Very nice idea executed poorly)
Oh boy sad review! When I had my huge Panic! phase in middle school, Vices was by far my favorite album of theirs, and returning to it now it really sucks that I found it so jumbled. Many tracks I remembered loving I still can enjoy, but the deep cuts are so incredible middle of the pack in quality
Favorite Track: Nearly Witches (Ever Since We Met)
Least Favorite Track: Let's Kill Tonight
