Canadian indie folk band “The Weather Station”, kills it on their newest release, “Ignorance”.
“Ignorance” combines genres like Chamber Pop, Indie Folk and Art Pop. The lead singer, Tamara Lindmans vocals are very expressive, while being delicate on this album reminding me of Joni Mitchell a little bit. On “Ignorance”, the instrumentals are very passionate, lush and superb with its pianos and strings and the production being beautiful and ravish all throughout.
“Robber” and “Parking Lot”, lyrically and instrumentally are such amazing songs that this album will have me going back for repeated listens.
