Led by 17 open up with what it's like growing up way too fast, feeling stuck, and living in the middle of BFE Kentucky on the corner of Route 17. I would like to add they missed a good opportunity to have 17 tracks on this mixtape to play into the theme of their route number, their home. Ot 17 being only 10 tracks leaves me frothing at the mouth for their world. Lil Arm and Erik, originally known as the duo (and often recognized as a stable of 3+) Codeine Kids, were releasing some of the most ... read more

The album is both stripped back while also containing some of the most sonic, cathartic, and Kanye-esque music today. There hasn’t felt this big of a project in sometime, arguably not since TLOP. Donda is a 27 track project and despite its 100 minute length, you’ll find you def coasting through much of this thing with vigor. It’s not the most eccentric Kanye can get and he even censors the album to maintain one promise, out of the hundreds he’s broken, of never cursing ... read more

This must be anxiety the record. Anxiety in the 80s, or perhaps the contrasting sound to that of Remain in Light. That’s what I got from this. This Heat created a varied car ride of an album that experiments to multiple corners of sound. Certainly something to appreciate.

Didn’t know what to expect but it’s a sound I can welcome. On the same route as those that sound like La Dispute, BC,NR is making waves with its progressive, instrumentalist sound with its moving lyrics that sound little of melodrama and more so captures a raw nature from our rural town fairground upbringings.

LW, the second half to their previous record KG. It’s a call to arms in that it’s some consistent work and work that’s brilliant like any other album of theirs.

Solid BH music from everyone’s favorite boyband. As good and well produced every track on here is, there is yet to be an able since the Saturation days to really capture that same pure nuance they had. This is still a good BH record, but you’re let wondering if what they said was true that they only have a few more albums to their name before disbanding, how many more do we got before they conclude this long chapter in their careers? Hopefully they’ll be able to top what many ... read more

I'm bored and so decided to make another community list; this time

What is a record you believe has defined its genre albeit through exemplifying its sound, shaping said genre, or has established said genre in popularity and/or existence, and why?

As you should be. Good luck.

album list will be out soon. sorry for mega late reply ^.^

I'll be checking out some of your lists soon and seeing what we've got in common! I've been at a little bit of a stand still with my reviews, and I'm pretty sure a good old list dig will be a good starting point to get back on the grind.

Great list! A lot of your picks are on my list or records I want to check out.

About

I jump in here sometimes. Like every beginning to a new year, I’m going to take a small break from listening to new music and when I do return to share my thoughts on new music it won’t be at such a rapid pace as it is toward winter.

Also plan on finishing my AOTY lists for the years that make up the past decade and listening to albums I missed from those years.

Library includes albums to-be reviewed & I also plan on reviewing my albums that so far only ratings.

I also like anime! MAL👇

Finally, the one thing I look forward to each year (jk?). The list for 2020 was actually a lot easier to make than most other lists. I knew mostly where I wanted to put certain albums in which places ...

This year, compared to the past few years, I found it a lot easier to find EPs that were lovely enough to warrant a list. Normally I scrape up stuff from random corners of Bandcamp, what I find ...
