Led by 17 open up with what it's like growing up way too fast, feeling stuck, and living in the middle of BFE Kentucky on the corner of Route 17. I would like to add they missed a good opportunity to have 17 tracks on this mixtape to play into the theme of their route number, their home. Ot 17 being only 10 tracks leaves me frothing at the mouth for their world. Lil Arm and Erik, originally known as the duo (and often recognized as a stable of 3+) Codeine Kids, were releasing some of the most ... read more

As anticipated as I was for this follow up release, it’s a bit underwhelming. As intense and colorful the first half of the album is, it eventually dissolves into an awkward sensitivity piece with a sound slowthai has yet to sell put pen to paper with. There are not as many standout, zany tracks nor do the eclectic, melodic passages stick the landing with they seem to start off good enough. I’m not looking for an album like the last, and even though I can appreciate the mature ... read more

When he's not making restaurant playlists, he is making some of the most important music out there.

In concept this idea slaps, but in execution it left me underwhelmed and wishing for a greater take. Most of the time the music was either too fast, too loud, or just not all that interesting for me. I was expecting something "chill" and actually lo-fi that would put me in a relaxing ambiance. I was wanting Burial's Unture but Zelda. That's not what we got though.

Holy shit I thought they only made experimental noise tapes! It's still not without their, um, "geroness" but it's a refreshing take on their different nature. This is a fantastic post-rock experience and if you've ever dismissed them, then give this album a shot. It might impress you on some front.

album list will be out soon. sorry for mega late reply ^.^

I'll be checking out some of your lists soon and seeing what we've got in common! I've been at a little bit of a stand still with my reviews, and I'm pretty sure a good old list dig will be a good starting point to get back on the grind.

About
Just dropped my EPOTY & AOTY lists for 2020! Like every beginning to a new year, I’m going to take a small break from listening to new music and when I do return to share my thoughts on new music it won’t be at such a rapid pace.

Also plan on finishing my AOTY lists for the years that make up the past decade and listening to albums I missed from those years.

Library includes albums to-be reviewed & I also plan on reviewing my albums that so far only ratings.

I also like anime! MAL👇

Finally, the one thing I look forward to each year (jk?). The list for 2020 was actually a lot easier to make than most other lists. I knew mostly where I wanted to put certain albums in which places ...

This year, compared to the past few years, I found it a lot easier to find EPs that were lovely enough to warrant a list. Normally I scrape up stuff from random corners of Bandcamp, what I find ...
