Remo Drive is one of those bands from the last dying wave of emo bands like Jank and Mom Jeans. What's unfortunate is at this point I have lost most interest in that sound and find little promise in any band doing something new with the genre these days. However, I noticed the praise this album had and it's immediate growth of fans. I originally wasn't sold on Remo Drive's single Yer Killin' Me and therefore had very little interest until now. After returning to Greatest Hits, this time with ... read more

Your exposure to this brief collection of music will feel just like this album cover; As you listen you’ll notice this little waves of ambience bouncing off the nicknacks and countertops as artificial light pours from the ceiling lamps and dancing amongst the crowded area of toys and paraphernalia. It’s not the most remarkable selection of tracks by Kieran, but with this artist’s small input of tunes you’ll find yourself bumping into (and to) this thing sooner or later ... read more

Unfortunately having a wingdings-like assembled name will stunt your audience growth but for those able to find the alternative Four Tet’s music will be pleasantly surprised to hear something that’s way more accessible to hear than it is to read this artist’s name. You don’t have to be an alien from some unknown origin to appreciate this album. It’s more experimental than the future garage, underground dubstep (Burial-esque dubstep) that made up last year’s ... read more

Very chimey future garage here with Four Tet’s Kieran. The textures are stylistically that of aquarium house and reminiscent of their time working with Burial.

At times risking to sound more bubblegum, over produced, and a cliche indie pop band, Reptar promote themselves with releasing a longer length album with all the same eclectic noises from before and then some. The same kooky voice can still be heard but with more emphasis on his range in voice. It's nothing that demands this as a "better" album than the last but more so a continuation.

Supp! I'm doing a challenge at the moment, the "out of my comfort-zone challenge". This is a challenge where I need to listen projects, I normally wouldn't listen too. After some listen I need to state my opinions in a review. If you would suggest an album to me, it would be great! As long as they aren't metal, hip hop or rap!
About
Hope you’re having a great day!

Every once in awhile, through slapdash opinions, I will post my thoughts on a collection of records. These records are usually all listened to during the time in between the sessions I spend on this site.

I find myself to lean less critical and more accepting on most records than others. I’m always down to give new albums a try, no matter the genre.

Feel free to throw in some recommendations and give me a follow if you enjoy my free thoughts and observations!
