IDER - shame

Meh 😬 They feel young. I might be a few years older than their target audience (I'm 29). I probably could have surmised as much from the album cover tbh. There is some quality indie pop music. And I have kept "cbb to b sad" on loop all month - great song.

The tracks are diaristic, personal details that require bravery to share. I find the album title corny but it's also an important topic. Brené Brown is really changing public discourse... IDER's lyrics are honest, though self-centered, only in the way that our generation is. Last thought: some of their more spoken songs almost remind me of early Avril Lavigne trying to rap on Let Go's "In My World". Please don't do that.
