This one took me awhile to really get into, but last night I was going for a long drive and it finally clicked. This album completely rules. It's as good as if not better than Short n' Sweet. Fantastic hooks, gorgeous production (Jack Antanoff haters get outta here), and the same funny writing that made me fall in love with Sabrina's music.
Faves: Tears, We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night, When Did You Get Hot, House Tour, Manchild
Least Fave: Go Go Juice
It's an album full of bops, bangers, and jams. My favorite by far is Middle Man, a bisexual anthem about falling for the girl your ex left you for. It's an all-time high in Couch's discography. Catchy as all hell, groovy instrumental breaks, and some genuinely great lyrics. What Were You Thinking and Static & Noise are also extremely catchy bops, and On The Wire is a surprisingly emotional track about not getting the support you need from your parents.

Absolute heaven. Two more near-perfect pop bangers from one of the greatest bands making music right now. Phenomenal in every sense of the word.
Damn is one of Kendrick's weaker albums, I fear. It's got some great bangers like DNA and Humble, and it's got some great jams like Yah and Loyalty, but overall the bangers aren't as punchy as the ones on Good Kid, m.A.A.d city and GNX, and the slower, more profound moments aren't as interesting as the ones on TPAB and Mr. Morale. Ironically enough though, despite being a weaker outing for Kendrick, it still ain't bad. Like, it's broadly speaking fairly ... read more
Good Kid, m.A.A.d city is a fantastic record full of catchy bangers, profound bars, and a genuinely compelling story. I love this album!
This one took a few listens to grow on me, but I DO really like it! It's a little more pop and a little less funky soul than I'm used to from them, but it's still extremely tight and executed to perfection. It's got some fun hits, it's got groovy horns, it's got an incredible bass line, and as always, Tema Siegel's gorgeous voice is the glue that holds it all together. I am so fucking SAT for the album you have no IDEA!
Much like the first sweater sessions, this is a live-in-the-studio EP that features an as-of-yet-unreleased original, a fire-ass cover, and a fun reimagining of an older song (in this case, Jessie). The Toxic cover is one of the best things Couch has done yet, right up there with the Vienna cover and the live Sunshower EP. It's groovy, it's funky, it COMPLETELY reimagines the original song from both a structural and orchestration standpoint, and it has an unbelievably epic outro. ... read more
Yeahhhhhh I fuck with this heavy. It's smooth, it's groovy, it has key changes in weird places, and I'm pumped as hell for the new album.
This is Couch at their absolute strongest. Taking an already fantastic EP, crafting fantastic live arrangements that sound just as good, if not better, than the studio versions, and then performing them to perfection. That synth solo in Let Me Hold You is TASTY.
Really solid cover of a song I absolutely loathe. The end result is a surprisingly fun jam!
Another fave of mine! Fantastic summer-y song that takes some heartbreak and gets groovy with it. Gives the unquestionable impression that this person is worse-off without the singer in their life, because she's just that awesome.
Mannnnnn this thing is so fuckin' good! The new arrangement of Easy to Love is fucking outstanding, the cover of Vienna is one of the greatest things I've EVER heard, and Alright is......completely alright.
This isn't a true live EP - it's not performed in front of a live audience or anything, but it's a live studio session. You wouldn't know from listening to it though, the mixing is outstanding!
