An album I so want to love, but I just could not.

I think taking into context that this album was released over 20 years ago makes Bricolage an achievement that has to be praised for the way it blends electronics and jazz music in what is perceived as a somewhat dark album. However, besides its heavy influence, I didn't get much out of the album sadly. Is it skillful? Yes, but I'm not feeling a whole lot out of it. I was certainly not immersed enough into it, so for the most part what I heard was an excess of hi-hats to the point that I was just hoping "give me something else, so I can love this album." Additionally, this album is 72 minutes long, so with my lack of full enjoyment already, I was getting extra tired. I cannot flaw the effort that went into it, and it is certainly worthy to receive the all the praise it gets, however I unfortunately will be yet to join its fans.
