This actually would have fit perfectly fine in MBDTF, but I understand the choice to cut it from the album.

The only confusing part is the decision to have early 2010's Cudi go up against Pusha and Kanye in his prime. It was a weird verse.

Though Scott and John Legend control the verse like veterans.

SLOPPY!

Deadass the worst single of his by far. But at least his singing has improved over time

Without question the best song under his catalog.

It'll take a minute before he can beat it.

Feels like an interlude, or a build up to a bigger song on a project. Interested to see where he takes this.

So today I was scavenging the weird corners of Spotify when I ran straight into this.

Ok maybe those corners weren't particularly odd, I literally entered "Plastic Beach" into the search bar and a cool album cover caught my eye.

With only one EP from last year, 2 singles and 27 monthly listeners... I thought little of them. I skimmed over the song "Beach Day" and landed straight onto the first chorus... and holy shit it was like magic.

I seriously couldn't believe just ... read more

I dig the song, it brings me back to them African vibes (it could almost be mistaken for a song over here) but I almost never listen to it without the music video, due to just how brilliant that production is, everything looks so dark and dim, but it's still so lively with so much happening at once, every frame looks fascinating to me. I think more media should be shot like that.

But the best part is Tyler. He feels so unnatural in a world that isn't of his own creation, for once, he's an ... read more
