that disc 1 was actually cooking, starving is a banger even if fans say it's "regressing" for her it's still a proper song and TEEZO ππ great feature choice.
this cover art is atrocious though what is this
this "mini album" gets too much hate I mean they're all bangers (apart from the intro it's useless)
For a debut project he was really going in the right direction with testing the waters on different genres because it reflected well in Montero
I'm really not a fan of old town road, it's just the fact that that's his most well known song doesn't stick right with me, like if we're being serious it's not a bad song but I genuinely think its one of his most weakest songs
Panini is a 2020 classic, can't hate the song at all it's a banger and will never ... read more
LIL NASY WE'RE BACK
I thought I had reviewed this project when it originally came out but clearly I didn't. I'm so glad he's returned with a project that actually holds to his standard and works so well with his character building. I think songs like LIGHT AGAIN, HOTBOX, RIGHT THERE! and SWISH are so perfect. The only miss for me is need dat boy because it doesn't really do much for me
I hold a high standard of d4vd because I've been listening to him for 3 years now and I KNOW what he's capable of. what is this song.. it's so poor
I'll add some context to this album for me first:
Quadeca has been a household name for me and my older brother since probably 2019 when he released his "Insecure" diss track on KSI, and him being a common English household staple I had to listen to it (I was 11 when that released), and it was the first time i'd ever heard rapping in a song used to insult somebody and it was a newfound style in music. My brother doesn't listen to listen to anything Quadeca as an all ... read more
this was absolutely unnecessary and will just cause hate towards the film that just isn't needed. I respect David Guetta is a cult phenom to EDM and electronic music but he should have left this one in the drafts
the downgrade of going from quadeca to this is so clear. standards in music are gone if we're liking this
this song is slowly losing its structure and i hate how it's becoming like that. It fell off since the humankind addition and then adding OT with a completely different instrumental to it just ruins the original song
fun fact: i grew up with the person in this album cover
stellar soundtrack for a film.
you shouldn't hate an album because it sounds "generic" even if the music is semi-good and still has highlights. This album has a really basic structure at points with a Pop structure and has basic pop artists/producers as features. But you seriously cannot undermine the fact that this album is not bad, and the reviews on this are over reacting.
he saw that sticky did well and tried to recreate it and got glorilla on it to try replicate it. horrible feature selection to have youngboy on this
curiousity killed the cat.
THE LIST has to be one of the worst songs I've ever heard
song by song review:
(1) the songbird and the bookworm - 6/10
I heard this song from the original Instagram snippet in October 2023, and the song had made me get Instagram so I could repeat it constantly. Since then, I've been though 2 shitty friend groups and an emotionally unavailable ex. And this song has turned out to be the best from the project, but it feels like it's missing something completely and doesn't feel right to me, compared to how I was when I listened to ... read more
I went into this album knowing nothing about Lorde's music, and with such high praises over the singles for this album I was expecting something. And that wasn't received, most of these songs didn't pick up instrumentally leading to false hope or when it did, it didn't give me anything and about 3/4 of time it felt like Lorde was just speaking into the microphone, It's obvious she can sing but it wasn't shown well on this. Production felt lackluster other than Man ... read more
