This is one of my favourite songs in existence, if not my favourite song ever. It's production is years ahead of it's time, the mixture of psychedelic sounds and the echo of the vocals sounds trippy and poppy at the same time. Rick Astley's voice sounds amazing, including the background singers. The bridge with the slight dance music influence is just the icing on the cake, and the end where it all fades feels like the somber end to a party is perfection. I was extremely surprised when I heard this EP, since the "they/them" song appeared as a single for me and I didn't know it was part of a record. So I listened to it, and this is probably the best lofi rap I've ever heard. The mixture of sweet lyrics, chill beats, and clean production makes this a flawless collection of underappreciated music. I watched the entire Trainwreckords series and heard snippets of all the songs here. Out of pure speechlessenss to how bad it sounded, I decided to review it myself and... well it's not good obviously. "Bollywood" was one of the worst songs I've ever heard, and I was thinking about giving this a 0 until I got to the rest of the album. I don't really have much to say on emo trio Sports.'s sophomore album "Demon Daze". The songs sound extremely similar compared to each other, though they are well-produced. The vocals also save the LP from being mediocre.
I don't understand the visceral hate for this song, but they are right about it not being good. It's way too short, and Elliot's voice sounds like it's underwater. The production is okay though, so it's not an absolute failure. The remix though...
I miss this music from them. It sounds so much better than their newer shit. Classic hyperpop banger, in my opinion.
