Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III
85

The most grand Lil Wayne album in his catalog. Some monumental moments all over this like the 3 track run to begin the album, or Kanye's production on Let The Beat Build, or even the smash hit Lollipop.

OutKast - Aquemini
100

The production is out of this world, as it feels like they built a world on this on. Songs like Return of the G and Rosa Parks are peak 90's records. Big Boi was consistently great all over this album, but Andre 3000 has some of the best performances in the history of rap.

Don Toliver - Life of a DON
85

A great project from Don. One of the best melodic rappers in the game, that has the potential to do a lot with his career.

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
100

The perfect RnB Rap crossover. Her vocal change is crazy, while having a high level storytelling ability.

2Pac - All Eyez on Me
99

This is the right way to do a double album. All Eyez on Me is packed with versatility, delivering everything fans expect from Tupac—raw emotion, storytelling, and classic West Coast bangers.

With highlights like “Ambitionz As A Ridah,” arguably the best song of the ’90s, the album balances gritty street anthems with introspective moments. To have only one skip on a sprawling 27-track project is nothing short of wild.

Roddy Ricch - Lonely Road
85

The horns go crazy, always loved Roddy's voice. He may be back....

Isaiah Rashad - The Sun's Tirade
75

A super smooth lyrical project, with nice fts. from SZA and Kendrick. Top 10 album of 2016

JID - DiCaprio 2
80

A great display of JID's insane abilities on the mic. One of the best flows in the genre, along with his amazing voice.

Drake - 5AM in Toronto
100

Best Timestamp record unless you count Do Not Disturb

Drake - Summer Sixteen
96

One of his best ever!!!

Juice WRLD - OUTSIDERS
NR

My personal tracklist for my ranking:
Way Too Many
High Tide
Party By Myself
Sometimes
Burn
Righteous
All Alone
Go Pro
Bloody Blade
Die To Live
Unexplainable ft. The Kid Laroi

Tell Me U Luv Me ft. Trippie Redd
Ducks
Off The Rip
Man of the Year

JACKBOYS & Travis Scott - JACKBOYS
NR

For being a "compilation" label album with like 4 artists 7 songs just wasn't enough. And for just 7 songs it didn't feel put together well. Like 3-4 great songs on here, but disappointing considering Travis Scott & Don Toliver are heavily involved.

Juice WRLD - Fighting Demons
70

Another posthumous release that feels very respectful to Jarad's legacy. Many flaws that prevent this from being his best work, but many great moments. The tracklist could have been trimmed down a bit to around 12-13 songs. I also wished his team could've switched up the feel of this one from LND a bit more. Everyone knows how extensive Juice's vault is, so including more upbeat rapping performances should have been on the agenda.

Juice WRLD - Goodbye & Good Riddance
85

A great debut album full of heartbreak and drugs. I love how focused the feelings, narrative, and track quality is on this album. I do think some of his other work has aged a bit better, as music has gone away from this emo rap sound.

Polo G - Hall of Fame
60

A good album, but a step down from The Goat. Despite having moments that rival and get the better of The Goat, it is bloated and there isn't enough of an evolution. I think if this album sat at around 12 tracks, with the first 8 songs + Bloody Canvas + 3 other good songs from the 2nd half, it would have been a great album that exceeded The Goat. Still though, limited evolution, but much more polished

Metro Boomin - NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES
70

A great produced cohesive work from Metro, but lacking amazing artists performances. Some nice moments from Travis, Swae, 21, Offset, and Drake though.

95

Outside of HUT, this is the best piece of work he has put out. So concise, and it has some of the best RnB cuts you'll find. Such an impressive debut mixtape, and first installment of The Trilogy

Playboi Carti - Die Lit
79

Lots of songs I don't love on here, but this album has most of Carti's best music. Long Time Intro & Shoota are his best songs in his catalog to date. I think in this type of project the highlights are much more important than the lows.

A$AP Rocky - TESTING
75

Another great album from Rocky, as I did enjoy this sonic switch up from him. A$AP kept his streak of having legendary intro to his albums as Distorted Records is such an immersive track with insane production and mixing. I think the start and end of this tracklist is where you find the most quality in this album experience. That track 6-11 run is probably his weakest part of any album of his, although I do love Buck Shots. Testing does rank at the bottom of his catalog, but that isn't a ... read more

A$AP Rocky - LIVE.LOVE.A$AP
95

A classic debut project from A$AP Rocky. Live Love A$AP sounds straight out of Houston despite Rocky being a Harlem rapper. It's the best world building cloud rap project I've ever heard, as the sound immerses you all through out the 50 minute runtime. The charismatic delivery + Clams Casino's incredibly hazy production makes this land at #3 for 2011 AOTY.
