The strongest boom bap album of the 2010s, a debut that reintroduced classic New York rap to a new generation. At just 17 years old, Joey Bada$$ delivers sharp lyricism and confident flows well beyond his years, with tracks like “Survival Tactics” and “Righteous Minds” cementing his early greatness.
A great debut album from A$AP Rocky. I love how he made it such a concise album experience, with just 12 tracks. I love the 4 track run to start this album, 2 of the posse cuts in Fuckin' Problems and 1Train, and an experimental song in Fashion Killa. This album does fall short of his best 2 albums (Live Love A$AP and At Long Last A$AP) because the other 5 songs one here I found just okay for his high standards. I think having Drake, Kendrick, and Joey on 1 album was impressive, and not ... read more
A$AP's best album, it's so experimental/creative. Joe Fox was an incredible inclusion on this track list. Holy Ghost may be the best record he's ever put out, along with some great moments like LSD, LPJF2, Canal St, Ms, Jukebox Joints, and Excuse Me
Some of the most beautiful music of the 2010 decade. Songs like Nikes, Ivy, Pink + White, Nights, White Ferrari, and Solo are all 10/10 songs with amazing vocals.
A improvement on all his prior work. It sounds great, and is full of nice production, performances, and features.
Such a unique and accessible mix of Southern, Conscious, and Trap Rap. I enjoyed how he split the album into 3 acts, that made it more cohesive. A standout classic album amidst a legendary year of music.
Swimming is Mac Miller’s best work—an introspective, soulful journey that blends groovy jazz-infused instrumentals with a seamless mix of rapping and singing. The production is smooth and immersive, creating an atmosphere that invites you to sink deep into Mac’s world.
What makes this album stand out is how it touches the soul—Mac confronts his struggles and growth with honesty and vulnerability, making every track feel genuine and heartfelt. It’s a record that ... read more
A flawless 7-for-7—no skips here. Daytona delivers some of the best rap songs of the 2010s, with standout tracks like “Santeria,” “Hard Piano,” and “If You Know You Know” showcasing Pusha’s sharp lyricism and storytelling.
Kanye’s production is a standout, blending gritty soul samples with minimalist, tense beats that perfectly frame Pusha’s aggressive style. While Daytona falls just behind Kids See Ghosts as the best album from the ... read more
Such an impressive album from Denzel. Not being to level of his other conceptual albums, but fitting perfectly into his catalog. He brought his Florida sound to this one, and it feels like a loose mixtape.
One of the last label albums that didn't just feel like a random collection of verses & songs put together. So many great artists appearing on here, with J Cole & JID leading the way
Despite being too long, this album has some highlights that made Juice WRLD the most anticipated artist of the 2020's decade before his untimely passing. Empty, Robbery, Flaws & Sins, Big, Out My Way, Fast, and many others are just so great. I believe if he was still here we would've seen 2-3 amazing albums from him that were even farther ahead this great release, RIP
The 2019 AOTY. An impressive leap from Flower Boy, considered how much improvement he made on Flower Boy. It is so experimental with some top tier music of the 2010's decade. Very conceptual as well!
A great record front to back. The Weeknd does a great job starting off his final trilogy as "The Weeknd"
Probably the best curated posthumous release outside of Mac Miller's camp. Some heart-wrenching lyrics, amazing melodies, and hit records on this one. Righteous may be his best song to ever release. A good representation of what Juice WRLD stood for. RIP.
One of the most consistent rappers in the game, delivering on another album. From The Garden, Headshots, and Score are some high highs on this one
The Melodic Blue really proved to me that Baby Keem has the potential to be a musical genius in the same realm as Tyler, Ye, Travis, etc where he is a producer-rapper creating worlds within his albums and evolving with each release. In Keem's debut album you get one of the most entertaining album experiences of the decade, with various style mixed all throughout. Vocally he reminds me of an artist like Don Toliver, which btw they have insane chemistry, but he also showed flashes of great ... read more
Even though this one couldn't top IGOR, this Tyler project is still amazing. It's undeniably his best rap effort, with so much cool production. I really enjoyed the collaborations on here, as all of the features were dynamic and surprising
